I recently tried these @audeze_official LCD-X headphones at a studio in Toronto and knew they were a game changer. They are totally different than normal headphones (of which I have too many) and that was a huge distinction. I grabbed a pair immediately! I travel a lot for work and am in different studios all the time. Most times it takes at least a couple of days to understand my new monitoring environment. For those first few days I can feel like I am flying blind and playing it safe in the studio and relying on “getting home” to see what we really got. The LCD-X headphones have been a lifesaver! It’s like having a room that I am familiar with literally strapped to my head. Gone are days of not entirely knowing what I am hearing when I travel to other studios. Last month we got to spend several days in Box England at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios making a new record. I’ll never forget it. We stayed on property in beautiful cottages and ate like kings thanks to the chefs! Yes, the studio was stunning as expected but the people that run the place seal the deal. We truly felt like family by the time we left and I cannot wait to find a reason to go back! by @jimroachmusic

Spent last week at Abbey Road studios. It has been on my short list of studios to work at and it didn’t disappoint! While we worked in studio 3 we were able to spend some time in the iconic studio 2 (Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc) thanks to our lovely engineers who opened it up for us. Can’t wait to get back. The cover for “Prisms” was created by an artist named Otto Baum out of Berlin Germany. We came across his art as we were finishing recording the album and totally fell in love with his style; so we reached out and asked if we could bring him into the fold. The original piece that became our album cover was originally painted onto a wall that is roughly 10’ tall and 12’ wide at his studio in Berlin. We were fortunate to have Otto send us the video of him creating it in real time! To get his signature look Otto actually creates his own tools that combine eight brushes that are connected in series for precise lines and circles. The original piece that became the cover for “Prisms” has since been painted over and no longer exists!. We are huge fans of his work and can’t thank him enough for allowing us to use his art for this record!
