2025 - somehow did a full year of fucking around and letting myself play, eat, and be bad

It was fun and i made meaningful connections but outside of those things, a lot of the “fun” was mentally unfulfilling

Our studio hosted our first ever, super fun tattoo artist vending event and decided to do a raffle for prizes. We had to record the drawing and announce the winners on camera so that we could post it to our stories and…

Neither of us are good on camera (nor do we like it) so needless to say, we had a few oopsies 🙂

Thank you @inkedbydenise for always looking for ways to highlight artists in different ways and make things fun. We suffered greatly, but the reward was priceless

Do you guys pre-fold your towels or do you just rip as you go?

My siblings and I grew up in a single-parent household and my grandma was there to help my mom out with us while she worked full-time. I remember her walking us to and from school when we were very small, making us our meals, and just always being there. She was a parent to us. But even though we knew she loved us, she was a very traditional korean woman and had difficulty showing affection. In turn, we didn’t show much affection in return.

One day we were visiting her in her senior apartments (after my mom was better established my grandma wanted to be on her own with her friends in the same community) and she sat us down and expressed to us that she loved us but felt like we didn’t love her. I was heartbroken and vowed to never let her feel that way again. Shortly after, she had her first stroke.

Several strokes later, and with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis in between, my grandmother’s personality did a 180 flip. She suddenly became very childlike and was able to express all of her feelings anywhere and anytime, whether it be through actions or words. She would hug us, kiss us, and tell us a million times that she loved us and of course, we would do the same. Although the diagnosis isn’t something we wanted or were happy for, my family and I were grateful she was still with us and we saw a silver lining in the way her character shifted and we enjoyed every second of her 9 remaining years with us. We shared so much quality time in tears, laughter and above all, LOVE. We lost her to the disease in 2015 and we miss her everyday. I personally participate in this walk every year in honor of her with anyone who will join me. I hope to be even a little droplet of help in trying to end Alzheimer’s
