Umbrellas in the sun is officially out now! (Link in bio)

This ambitious short film served as our final group project for our studies at Howest DAE. To us, it’s more than just a short movie. It’s a testament to our shared vision, relentless effort, and love for storytelling. We’re incredibly proud to finally share our passion with you now. Go watch it now!

This is not your average racing kart...

This is another project for an extra course I’m taking this semester. In Game Art 2 I learned all about the different art pipelines and workflows used by independent game companies. This was I have broadened my knowledge and skillset to not only fit a feature pipeline, but also how to make my machinations function correctly in a game engine.

I proudly present this passion project of mine: The Chicken Mech Army! Take a look at the final animation and behind the scenes on YouTube (links in bio) by @jirte_vanhoenacker

Exactly one year ago today, we wrapped a hectic two-day shoot for the third instalment of our Star Wars fan film trilogy Dissonance. After hundreds of hours of choreo practice, previz, and planning, we made our way to a legendary location in France. Just four students with no budget, our phones for cameras, 12 baguettes, and a hecking lot of motivation and passion. We did something really amazing!
Shoutout to the amazing team, the OG’s, the new members, and the crazy bastards who were on this shoot.
Nowadays, we’re still working on the VFX of over a hundred shots of this crazy shoot. And on many more scenes. I’m so excited to share this awesome project one day!
Until then, may the force be with you!

By the way, I am open for freelancing! Want to see me make something like this for you? Send me a DM!

I am open to work!

I’m a Technical Animator / Character Rigger with a strong focus on bringing characters to life through solid, production-ready rigs and animations.
I’m open to open to full-time or freelance work — from AAA pipelines to indie productions and everything in between.

Let me know if you are:
• A film or game studio looking for a technical animator or rigger
• A character artist wanting their work to move and breathe
• An outsourcing team supporting large productions
• An indie studio needing flexible rigging and animation support
• A Belgian motion design studio looking for “jong geweld”
I’d love to connect!
Please reach out or share this post!

I am now officially a DAE Veteran!!!
I graduated my bachelor’s degree Digital Arts and Entertainment, cum laude. It has been a wild ride, and I am so incredibly happy I could go through this wonderful journey alongside my best friends! Many thanks to the awesome teachers and staff of DAE, and to the lovely people who supported me through this sometimes difficult adventure.

When @jankel02 needed new enemies for the next update of his game Star Wars BESIEGED, I off course jumped in to bring them to life! In a couple days I rigged and animated these B2 droids. Oh, and I also edited the update trailer 😉

Go play the newest update of Star Wars BESIEGED, out now on itch.io!
