This past weekend was a big one for us.
@ibjjf finally made their way back to Hawai’i and a first for a lot of us on the big stage.
We could not be any more proud of our team for getting out there and proving to themselves that they can compete with anyone. Also a special thanks to everyone back home that puts in the work along side each other every single day to help in the preparation.

Stoked to have @chris_foca_ out on Kauai! He will be competing over in Budapest at a ranking series tournament and flying straight to Kauai !

He’ll be sharing elite wrestling techniques along with the hard-earned hand-fighting secrets he’s developed over years of high-level competition.

This clinic will be for all ages with a basic crash course for first timers (led by our coaching staff as well) so make sure to bring your kieki ! This is for anyone who wants to improve their wrestling game! We will have the first session Friday night and the second Saturday morning. $25 for one session or $40 for both!

Along with the clinic we will be hosting a take down tournament following our final session of wrestling. There will be prizes for those who win their bracket as well as bragging rights! This will be located at @jiujitsu967 and for those who remember the Kauai smoker it’ll be similar vibes! Weigh ins will be 5pm- 5:30. 6pm we will start with our first matches!

Our final day will consist of a beach tournament! There will be a potluck to follow. It’ll be a great way to send Chris off with a taste of Hawaii so be sure to show up and show out! There will be no fee for takedown tournament or beach tournament so come scrap!

I believe this will be a giant step toward producing future camps with high level wrestlers. We don’t just want to do a regular clinic, we want to go above and beyond! Mahalos for the support and let’s continue to grow wrestling on Kauai 🤙🏽

Blessed to join forces with Ryan as he shares his expertise with Paniolo Wrestling Club!

Ryan will be leading Sunday strength and conditioning sessions for both beginner and advanced athletes. We will also be selecting our most dedicated wrestlers to train twice a week at his @outlierfitnessclub .

This past season—and again this summer at Turf Wars in Idaho—we saw a clear strength deficiency holding our athletes back. If we don’t intentionally address it, nothing will change. At Paniolo Wrestling Club, we refuse to settle for ordinary. We’re building a program that stands apart through commitment, culture, and results.

Adding specialized strength training is a game-changer. It will develop functional strength that translates directly to the mat through explosiveness, grip strength, core stability, conditioning, and injury resilience. Just as importantly, it builds discipline, confidence, and mental toughness—qualities that last long after the final whistle.

Our vision reaches far beyond winning wrestling matches. We know many of our keiki face challenges outside the wrestling room. Every child deserves positive mentors, high expectations, and a place where they feel valued and supported. We want this program to be a source of consistency, accountability, and hope—a place where young people can grow into strong men and women regardless of the obstacles they may face off the mats.

When we invest in our athletes, we’re investing in the future of our island. Stronger kids become stronger families. Stronger families build stronger communities. That’s the legacy we’re chasing.

Kauaʻi has never had a state wrestling champion. We believe that can change—but our greatest victory won’t just be a title. It will be developing young people of character who lead with humility, resilience, and service.

Culture shifts when a committed few decide to buy in completely. We’re looking for athletes and families who are ready to put in the work. The results will speak for themselves.
