Get Money Remix!! Produced by @djenuff @jivpos #biggie #biggiesmalls #juniormafia #brooklynhiphop #90shiphop HISTORY BEHIND THE TRACK!!!! This was obviously a huge project for me and Enuff. We were selling tracks and doing beat records prior to this... but this remix put us on the map and had us getting work for the next 3 yrs. Me and Enuff deconstructed this track. We resampled the kick, snare, hats, shakers, baseline etc. then we rebuilt the track with all of the original parts. That’s how we were able to maintain the integrity of the original track with the flexibility to EQ and bump individual parts. That’s why we were able to do the drops and breakdowns. Those are all original drums on the break down. Me and Enuff dissected and rebuilt it at his crib on Ocean Ave. in Brooklyn. We laid the track down in Quad studios and mixed it at The Hit Factory.. during the mix session BIG wanted me to take out the breakdowns before the verses. I wanted them in. I felt strong about keeping it. Eventually, I told him ok that I’ll take it out. After a while Big and JM ran out to the club to take a break. As soon as he left... I put the breakdown back in. I took a chance. Fuck it!! They came back when it was done. We blasted it for BIG damn near blowing the speakers. Me and E looking at each other. The track finished. We look at BIG. He looked at us and simply said.. “We got a hit”!! by @jivpos
