it’s funny how in life you so badly want to hurry and get to the next chapter. only to find yourself missing the one you just couldn’t wait to finish..

i know some people may call me crazy but it’s sorta hard to explain. that feeling of carrying life. those kicks and flutters. feeling both scared and excited during the season of waiting and not knowing.

if i could just go back for five minutes, i think id hold my belly a little tighter and tell old me to soak it all in while she could 🥹🫶🏻

cause be so forreal right now… all the moms acting like every day is a perfect and productive day… pls 😤

today just felt off. i didn’t feel like myself and there were a lot of little things i couldn’t control.

so instead of sitting in it, i put on my shoes, went outside and walked it off.

nothing magical happened. nothing really changed. but i came home feeling a little lighter.

just a reminder that you’re allowed to have off days. it doesn’t mean the whole day has to be one 🤍

no one really prepares you for the guilt of your first baby becoming “the dog” 🥺

dear hippo,

before geo, you were our baby.

you had all of our attention, all the cuddles, all the lazy days with us. for so long, it was just us. and then one day, your whole world changed.

i know the last almost 7 months haven’t been the easiest for you. so much of our time and attention goes to geo now, and i’m ashamed to say there are many days i realize i barely got to cuddle you or love on you the way i used to 😭

but through all of it, you’ve been the sweetest, most patient boy. you wait nearby, still follow us from room to room, and somehow seem to understand that this little person who suddenly takes up so much of us is part of our family now too.

we love geo baby more than anything, but id be lying if i didnt sometimes miss the days when it was just us and you too. and sometimes i wonder if you miss those days too…

i wish there was a way to explain all of this to you. to tell you that you weren’t replaced. our family just grew.

i hope you know that even when my arms are full with geo, there will always be a place for you in them too.

you were our first baby. the one who made us a little family before we ever became parents.

and you always will be 🤎

one thing I didn’t realize about becoming a mom is how important it would be to find community for me too.

getting us both dressed, packed and out the door is always a mission but mornings like this make it so worth it.

geo had the best time and mama even made a few new mom friends 🫶🏼 definitely adding more mommy & me dates to our routine.

once baby’s asleep the second shift begins ⏰🌻

there’s just something about working on florals late at night when everyone’s sleeping and the house is extra quiet that makes the creative process feel extra special.

running a small business while raising a little one definitely looks different these days. sometimes the work happens in the quiet moments after bedtime, and other times in between all the chaos. but i wouldn’t have it any other way.

all i need is the vision, headphones & a lil extra coffee and im all set for the night 🎧✂️🌸✨
