I got asked recently
what makes me happy
& as simple of a question that is
it made me so fulfilled
to think about it
and write out a few things
that make my heart sing
and maybe reading my thoughts
will make you think
of what makes you happy too

a few things that bring me happiness:
love , myself , family , good sleep
sex , life , puppies , flowers
the moon , kissing , coffee
traveling , silence , herbal tea
thrifting , laughter , impactful relationships
gardens , creative thought , abundance
the smell of fresh bread , ceremony
little items , mushrooms, rain
art & architecture , spring , health
quality time , cacti , the beach
yoga , nourishing food , incense
books , meaningful conversations
adventures , sound therapy
barefoot walks , patience
museums , cooking
sunrises & sunsets , learning

It’s only when caterpillarness is done that one starts to be a butterfly and that again is part of this paradox
You cannot rip away caterpillarness
The whole trip occurs in an unfolding process
Under which you have no control

she’s a Sagittarius sun ♐️🌞
:: fire sign • the sun represents our individuality, our conscious mind.
sagi suns are easy going & playful beings who are always trying something new. they crave adventure, independence & freedom, but it can sometimes be a mode of escapism. despite this, they always keep their vision & highest potential at the forefront🏹

with a Capricorn moon ♑️🌙
:: an earth sign • the moon influences our emotions & self image.
capri moons are grounded and stand strong in their dreams & beliefs. vulnerability with emotions can bring anxiety, so they may come off reserved or calm. they crave stability & security so productivity & action is a big priority🐐

and a Leo ascendant ♌️⬆️
:: a fire sign • the ascending sign is how you act in life, how the world sees you.
ascending leo’s radiate a recognizable energy with their inner child at heart. they can overestimate things due to their optimism and fantastical dramas. but they lead with a strong mind and determination 🦁 taken in Tulum Beach by @jjayfaye

“I can do nothing for you but work on myself... you can do nothing for me but work on yourself!”
🖤 Ram Dass

and so it is…..

I been feeling ungrounded n a little lost so I come back to my practices, to my routines, to what I know so I can come back to myself and continue elevating & evolving

lol half the planets in my birth chart are in capricorn and this season has been soooo interesting. my days have been filled with a lot of journaling n reflection. but this past week really has me upside down—flowing through the broadest range of emotions. clouded perceptions, heart pulled in different directions, but I’m just doing my best & I just gotta keep reminding myself of that. And sometimes you look back n you’re like that really wasn’t my best but you are alwaysss doing the best that you could with the consciousness you had in that moment

Love you !

!! open arms • open heart !!

everyday brings new possibilities, open yourself to the opportunities that are available to you whenever you allow yourself to dive into freedom

take life by the reigns and move out of your own way. the universal pull of greatness is so strong, just look around you, look how everything always evolves into greatness.

storms roll in, seasons change, & even wildfires are necessary in nature, but beauty will always prevail and show you just how temporary that despair you feel you’re stuck in, really is

🕺🏽🌀👁🪞🧸🧬⚖️🧩
Love you! 💚Jay
