In S05 E06, @finding.joy.psych shares how stepping away from the NHS gave her the space to rediscover creativity, embrace poetry, and overcome fears—a journey that inspired the name of her business, Finding Joy. 💡 In this episode, we explore: 🫙 Creativity as a tool for healing – “I found myself writing poems and really connecting to a sense of creativity that I didn’t have space for before.” 🫙 PTSD, birth trauma & EMDR therapy – how they intersect 🫙 Overcoming fears & finding joy – @finding.joy.psych’s journey from the NHS to building her dream business Her story proves that when we embrace creativity, we unlock healing, transformation & joy. 🎧 Listen now: https://linktr.ee/jjg_podcast 💬 Have you ever found healing through creativity? 🎙️ A Little Update on This Week’s Podcast Release 🫙 Sometimes, tech just doesn’t want to cooperate… and this week, @capcutapp’s transcript editor has thrown a spanner in the works. 🚨 I’m waiting on a response from their support team to get things back up and running, which means Part 2 of my conversation with @finding.joy.psych will be slightly delayed. But instead of letting my fight-or-flight response take over and pushing myself to exhaustion, I’m choosing to practise what I preach—because healing, growth, and self-care all come from a place of regulation, not burnout. 💡 And that’s exactly what we’re talking about in this episode! In Part 2, we explore Polyvagal Theory—how the ventral vagal system (part of the parasympathetic nervous system) helps us feel safe, connected, and emotionally regulated. Right now, I’m trusting that this beautiful community will understand that sometimes, slowing down is the best choice. The episode is coming very soon, and I know it’ll be worth the wait. ✨ In the meantime, why not catch up on Part 1 or dive into past episodes? You can find them all here: https://linktr.ee/JJG_podcast 💬 How do you regulate your nervous system when life gets stressful? 🎙️ It’s Podcast Week at the JamJarGill Podcast! 🎉 Are you ready for Part 2 of my conversation with Christina of @finding.joy.psych? S05 E06 drops this Wednesday! 🌿✨ In Part 2, we explore: 🔹 How EMDR and CBT are recognised as evidence-based therapies 🔹 Why these therapies are so effective for PTSD and trauma 🔹 The science behind clinical trials and their impact on therapy recommendations 💡 "EMDR is one of the recommended therapies—it’s not the recommended therapy. CBT is also recognised for PTSD treatment. Both are backed by evidence, clinical trials, and real results that prove their effectiveness." – Christina Jassi 📆 Mark your calendars—S05 E06 lands this Wednesday! In the meantime, catch up on Part 1 here: https://linktr.ee/JJG_podcast 💬 What’s your experience with therapy—have you tried EMDR or CBT?
