On Sunday I crossed the finish line of the 2025 Chicago Marathon with a new personal record of 3:45:46. It was the hardest and most meaningful experience I’ve ever taken on. Every mile meant something bigger than myself. ⭐️🏃🏿

This race wasn’t just about finishing, it was about the families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities. Together, we raised $2,800, covering nearly a month of meals, housing, and comfort for families whose children are receiving life-saving care. It was my pleasure to run for Ronald McDonald House Charities and carry that purpose every step of the way.

The marathon owes me nothing, not a shortcut, not a guarantee. It is indifferent to your sacrifice. It doesn’t promise you an outcome. You give everything, not for what you’ll get back, but for who you become and who you’re helping along the way.

Sometimes we carry our goals.
Sometimes our goals carry us.

Consistency stacked mile after mile led to a new PR at the Philadelphia Distance Run. This weekend wasn’t just about the race, it was about brotherhood. @bmr_phl hosted the Eastern Regional Meetup for @blackmenrun, uniting chapters in full force. The fellowship and stories shared remind me why we show up. Grateful to my chapter and the planning committee for showing true Philly hospitality. Next stop: 26.2 @chimarathon

Last week, I experienced one of the most electrifying and unforgettable moments of my life: completing my first marathon in under 4 hours—the 2024 AACR @philly_marathon —in the city I know best. 🏙️❤️

✨ By the Numbers ✨
🏃🏾‍♂️ 77 days of running
🕒 90+ hours trusting the process
🌍 560+ miles of contact with the Earth
⛰️ 17,000+ feet of hills climbed
💰 Countless dollars spent on shoes, races, traveling, and gear

A @joshlynott post made me understand that no matter how I tried to quantify this journey, the real challenge wasn’t the distance—it was time. ⏳ Time spent solo running, time recovering, time chasing progress, and time disappearing in between everything else. Time will always pass by—farther than any distance I’ll ever run—so I’m grateful I could embrace something precious on the course: a moment in time.

To every runner who laced up for #PMW2024, every spectator who poured their heart into cheering, @nattyphoto who crafted the blueprint, my loved ones who stood by me with unwavering support, and the run clubs that gave me space to grow and dream—you made this journey unforgettable. 🫶🏾
