I’m a general. WEEEE!! 🌟Starting rehearsals today for Charles Lee / Man 1 in Hamilton on Broadway!! Elated to join this incredible show and company. See you at the Richard Rodgers Theatre starting February 25th!5 years ago, during the pandemic, my first videos that really “blew up” online were my Hamilton POV videos. I was making *dozens* of them with a greenscreen effect in my childhood bedroom when no live theatre was happening lmao. My love for this show runs deep, and I’ve dreamed of getting to perform it for so long and just didn’t know if it was in the cards for me. This town is about to cut loose! 👟⚡️We’re thrilled to announce the cast of Footloose at Flat Rock Playhouse led by Broadway and national tour talent, familiar Playhouse favorites, and exciting new faces ready to light up the Leiman Mainstage this summer. ☀️ Returning to Flat Rock is JJ Niemann (Hamilton, Back to the Future: The Musical, The Book of Mormon) as Ren McCormack. Audiences may remember JJ as Sky from Mamma Mia! (‘22), and we could not be more excited to welcome him back to the Rock. 🪨 Also returning to the Playhouse is Jared Goldsmith (Dear Evan Hansen) as Willard Hewitt. Long before Broadway and the First National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, Jared was a Flat Rock Playhouse Apprentice appearing in The Music Man and 9 to 5 (‘16) and having him back on our stage a decade later feels pretty special. ✨ Joining them is Broadway powerhouse Nicole Powell (Ragtime, Hairspray, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) as Vi Moore, alongside an incredible company packed with beloved Playhouse artists and bold new energy.
