I didn’t even know how to start writing this because I still can’t believe you are gone and there are no words that can express how we all are feeling right now so I just want to say thank you. Thank you for giving us the honor to call you a brother. Thank you for touching so many lives and inspiring so many people. Thank you for always giving it your best bringing the best out of all of us. Thank you for all those practice sessions, the games, the trips, the jokes, the locker room banter and our dances. Thank you for giving us a championship and for making history together. Thank you for showing us that no matter how hard your life circumstances are if you have a goal and if you give it your all you will accomplish anything you want. You were going places man I know I speak for everyone when I say you are one of the best players to have played with and we will forever feel honored that we got to share the field with you. You leave us with a huge heartbreak but also with a ton of memories. I remember on that last video we are walking and I hugged you and Carlos and we told each other how much we appreciated and loved playing together and that video is exactly how you will receive all of us in heaven and walk us in. You leave us way too soon but I know you are up there balling and dancing with God. Thank you for everything Melvin we will forever be grateful for everything.
