Lost in the Milky way. Swipe left ⬅️
My first ever glimpse of the Milky Way, shot from Hanle, Ladakh.

The timing was not on my side. It was a full moon night, which is usually the worst time for astrophotography. Luckily, the moon rose only around 8 PM, so I had a short window of dark sky before it came up. I set up quickly and managed to capture this before the moonlight took over.

The second photo is a stack of 10 images, and if you look closely, you can spot a few meteors streaking across the frame.

Seeing the Milky Way with my own eyes for the first time is something I will not forget.

When the police water cannon hit, sadly my camera stopped working right after this. But the frame survived. 😁📸

The camera needed fixing, but this frame went on to become a Finalist. Very much honoured to have this moment recognised and to have my photograph exhibited. ❤️
