We have seen more use of trapping to setup knockouts out of boxing , but how about for clinch and elbows

The elbow is weapon , it can be baseball bat or knife just depends on how you use it.

In real fight, no weight class , no rules..
It's a great tool from Muay Thai and Filipino martial arts. A small change in angle is a good feint. 👍

No gloves. no problem..
Build iron wrist and palms for striking.
You most likely will not have gear when a fight breaks out.

Self defense tip 👇

1. Isometrics holds on knuckles and palms for building wrist support and punching power.

2. Palms can be conditioned by tapping ( light striking ) on different surfaces. Rice , water , heavy bag , sand , even concrete.

3. Iron palms , first build up striking on bag.
Loose no tension in the elbows. Let power travel through the arms.

4. Practice good form when punching. Wrist aligned straight, no bending on impact.

5. It takes time to build but well worth it.
Important if your new use wraps before striking bag and slowly build hands , wrist conditioning before striking without gloves.

Knife Defense is Self Defense..
👆 drilling the checking hand to defend.

So many people who start equate jiujitsu muay thai to self defense. Those are all great to learn but recent events would tell you they don't address armed attacker..

3 stabbing in one day from downtown Manhattan to close almost in front of the UN.

My friends even the most basic knife defense skills helps.

Unfiltered, reality of Self Defense can not be discussed without knife defense.
