I wrote this song for #erykacaldwell and #juniperblessing and every beautiful life taken from us too soon. It’s a work in progress. 📹From a powerful vigil 🕯️ organized by @protecttransfutures @jkorgood outside the Massachusetts State House.

1000 days!!! It’s kind of a long time ✨ 2 years and 8 months and 24 days. Or what simultaneously feels like both the blink of an eye and an entire lifetime! That’s how long I’ve been on estrogen. and it’s pretty cool!! To be quite honest, I only intended on taking it for like a month or two when I started—and then planned to stop once I realized that it wasn’t a random drug that would ~fix~ me. And I will be the first person to say, a month of HRT didn’t ~fix~ me. But what it did do is allowed me to inhabit the me that I had I suppressed all through undergrad. It validated every single dream I had had through hs and college about seeing myself with tits and makeup and walking through the world not as an insecure boy, but as an exceptionally cunty woman. And once I began, I knew there was no point in stopping; because being a woman was what I was simply meant to be. And now, 1000 days later, I am proud to say, I think I am one? One with tits and gorgeous makeup, one who feels cunty and effervescent walking down the street. And it is genuinely such a blessing to have been able to share in the act of creation in making this version of myself a reality. I had a lot of support and love and care from so many people along the way and that’s also such a blessing! I guess all I’m trying to say is thank you. Thank you to my trans-cestors. Thank you to my friends and partners and family. Thank you to the Earth for letting me exist here in this body on this planet. Thank you for estrogen and spironolactone and progesterone. But most importantly, thank you—to myself. To the jordan who on may 17, 2023, decided to take a risk and do the single scariest thing in the world. Because of you, I have been changed for the better. I love you and I’m so proud of you :’) 🏳️‍⚧️ taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @jkorgood

Busy show tonight! We’ll be starting things off at 7 PM with Dog Music, as presented by roommates and lawfully wedded spouses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, @jkorgood and @arikassamsterdam. And we’ll be rolling through with that theme into the 8 PM hour!

Around 7:30 PM, I’m giving away a pair of tickets to see @wildpinknyc with @voila_deadgowns and @otis.shanty at @warehouse_xi on January 28th.

To wrap things up, I’ll have a quick chat with @just_invisiblerays at 8:45 PM before they get ready for their live performance at 10:30 PM!

Catch it all on WMFO.org, MellowMaxRadio.com, and 91.5 FM for the locals! taken in 91.5 WMFO by @jkorgood
