A little throwback to one of my favourite sculpts I've done so far and my first project @gorton_studio

My first ever large scale sculpture as well as my first in WED clay. I will definitely be picking up using it again to sculpt as I really like the stages and the fact it helps pace your sculpts.

I am hoping to take the mould home with me so hopefully I will be able to create some more casts as my finishing work has improved since my first two! by @jl.sfx

Special thank you to @houseofgopika for capturing some wonderful footage and photos of him for me!!

Seeing people's reactions to him was incredibly magical and a few kids even stopped by to meet him!

Let's kick off spooky season with a ghostly look 👀

This look was inspired by the early 2000s ghost / spirit movies
Specifically "the angry princess" from 13 ghosts and "Samara" from The ring

I find these designs so captivating and inspiring. Giving spirits a more solid physical form and more intense look rather than the classic translucent specters that are more commonly used for ghosts. The designs and makeup used in the 2000s paved the way for more creative and adventurous renditions of ghosts on screen

This look used merhorn's cream blend sticks in both black and white as well as their coagulated blood gel
(I wish I had more of their products but unfortunately not yet) by @jl.sfx

These prosthetics were sculpted , moulded and cast in two days (evenings technically as I was working)
A really fun look with some super cool vibes and a great time on set with everyone! 🫶🏼

I loved Obsession so much

I really think it was a fantastic film that presented a very important subject and I was amazed by how much was achieved with the budget they had

It was a really special moment to watch it in cinemas for the first time and see smaller creators take on big studios

Not to mention as a lover of trinkets and the paranormal the one wish willow design was so nostalgic and cool to see and I do already own by own 😅

Multi piece prosthetic appliance with hand sculpted prosthetics all hand painted and applied by me

This look is inspired by my work scare acting throughout many Halloweens! I have now been working as a scare actor and mua across multiple events for five years.

Scare acting is something I found a love for through doing makeup, it's incredibly rewarding after a hectic hour or two of getting 50+ people into makeup with a small team to then run around scaring the sh** out of people! Very therapeutic 😅

I never of course have time to get any good photos of my makeup so I've been wanting to do a more fleshed out version for a long time so here you go!

Some photos of my little bat creature out in the wild

These photos showcase some of the range of motion this piece has

Next time I would use stronger wire in the wings just to increase their strength so they can hold poses better

I really enjoyed this quick little project by @jl.sfx

A sloth? A bat? How about both ? (Kinda)

An experiment made with scraps of stuff I had over the weekend

This little guy was made using fabric scraps , tinfoil , oven bake clay and wire , painted with acrylics and shaded with pastels

His head, wings and tail are all posable so he is pretty expressive overall

A fun little project to make use of some bits and pieces and make a simple but fairly effective creature by @jl.sfx
