Sailing to St. Lucia 🇱🇨⛵️ and we had a couple of little visitors join us along the way. 🐬💙

There is something so incredible about seeing dolphins in the wild, swimming right alongside the boat. Definitely one of those moments I’ll never forget.

Caribbean sailing just keeps getting better. 🌊☀️

Apparently yelling it across the water is frowned upon, so here I am, admiring everyone else’s dogs from afar like some sort of canine stalker. 😂

🐢 One of those moments we’ll never forget.

After dinner at Le Petit Bonhomme in Martinique, we walked outside and started noticing tiny baby turtles everywhere.

They were heading the wrong way. Instead of following the moonlight toward the ocean, they were being drawn toward the artificial lights from the restaurant.

So out came our phones. 📱🌙

We used the lights to help guide them back toward the water, and one by one, these tiny little guys started making their way across the rocks and into the ocean. 🌊🐢

We must have helped close to 100 of them that night.

Definitely not how we expected dinner to end, but easily one of the coolest and most special moments of this entire trip. ❤️

Apparently my entire personality is now sunshine, Caribbean outfits and a little gold bag that refuses to be ignored. 😂

I bought this outfit at @robaboutique Roba for a wedding back in May, but THIS is where she was meant to live. And this little Amazon purse?? Stop it. It’s vacation jewellery disguised as a handbag. ✨

Warm Caribbean air, sunshine, turquoise water and nowhere I need to be.

Milton Falls, Dominica 🇩🇲🌿💦

Today’s adventure took us into the lush rainforest outside Roseau to Milton Falls, and THIS is the Caribbean I love.

Fresh water pouring down through the jungle, surrounded by nothing but green, rock and that ridiculous Dominican scenery. And yes, we got right in. Because apparently looking at a waterfall like normal people isn’t enough for us. 😂

This island is wild, rugged and completely different from the Caribbean beaches you normally picture. Dominica is called the Nature Island for a reason. 🌿

Another stop on the Grand Voyage that I won’t forget.

😂 This made me laugh, but there’s also a whole lot of truth hiding in here.

At 58 and post-menopausal, I train VERY differently than I did in my 20s, 30s and even my 40s.

This stage of life isn’t about trying to be skinny. It’s about protecting muscle and bone, staying strong, maintaining balance and mobility, recovering properly and building a body that will carry me through the next few decades.

I’ve been a personal trainer for years, but menopause taught me things no textbook ever did. Living it gives you a completely different perspective.

And ladies, if your body suddenly stopped responding to the things that worked for you for 30 years, you’re not imagining it. The strategy has to change.

Lift the damn weights.
Eat the damn protein.
Keep walking.
Prioritize your sleep.
And stop judging your 50-year-old body by the rules that worked when you were 25.

That’s my food for thought today. ❤️

PS. I still reserve the right to take excellent advice from a smart 25-year-old. I’m menopausal, not unreasonable. 😂 by @jl_core

I ran into the sweetest and most talented makeup artist today at MAC Pro on Michigan Avenue at The Shops at North Bridge.

Marci, did my makeup and I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything she put on me. The lip combo, the eyes, all of it. She nailed it.

And because I was apparently too busy talking instead of writing down every product 😂 if you guys start asking me for shades and product names, MARCI PLEASE CHIME IN and save me. 🤣
