POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
September. Two causes that mean so much to me. Childhood Cancer has touched the lives of my friends and watching them fight and bury their children is just heartbreaking. But watching their testimonies since has been a blessing. They are so strong and courageous. Spinal Cord Injury has touched our family in a real, and very tangible way. My nephew Travis is the strongest person I know and his testimony is a lesson to everyone that when you feel like giving up, you just keep going. In fact, none of these people haven’t given up. They have continued in a miraculous and meaningful way. Rex Fleming said while he was fighting cancer “I will live to tell the story.” And he has. And so has Andrew’s family and so has my sweet Travis who tells his story every day. Continue to pray for a cure. For both. For these families and for Travis. Let YOUR Lifesong sing! 💛💚 by @jlajke89

This day never fails to stop me in my tracks. It was the most horrific day in my lifetime. The sheer terror, unimaginable horror, and deep sadness was instantaneous and palpable. But something else emerged that was stronger and more powerful than the horror...and that was the feeling of togetherness and love for each other. The feeling of patriotism was immediate and comforting as we struggled to fathom what had just happened. As always on 9/11, we take time to remember. I watch the shows and the footage, because I feel like we should. We are the ones to carry on that feeling of patriotism and togetherness. It is our job to honor the nearly 3,000 lost that day and the ones who are still physically and mentally affected today. I will never, ever forget being a teacher and trying to get through this day so I could go home and love on my family. My prayer today is for the survivors. Not just of 9/11, but for the families of the brave men and women who cleaned up after, who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, and for our country. To never forget how we felt that day and the days after...days of unity and love for each other. May God's blessings cover them all. We will NEVER forget. by @jlajke89

For the past few years we have had the joy of taking our grandkiddos for a trip or adventures in the summer. It started out with just Wyatt, and we’ve added Emmitt, Avery, Brinley and Presley to round out the crew! This year we stayed at our house for what will forever be known as “Cousin Camp!” We had adventures in Waco and Austin and we had a ball!!! Thanks to @rrexpress for a fabulous night! We finished it off with the best Fourth of July at our favorite place with Michele, Scott and Travis!!! Thank you God! We are so grateful!!! by @jlajke89

Father’s Day is such a special day to celebrate the wonderful men in my life and in the lives of our family. Charles Hardage is the best daddy to Jud and me. We learned how to love Jesus first. Jud learned how to be a husband and father. I learned not to settle and to look for a man who loves me for me, just like my dad loves my momma. I found that special, incomparable man in John Gilmore. He is the best husband, father and Chief and that is the biggest blessing and gift. Watching Ryan and JT become husbands and dads is also such a gift because they love their families like my dad and John have done all these years. I love you all! Happy Father’s Day! 💙 by @jlajke89

As Memorial Day comes to a close it important to honor those who gave all for our freedom. This country is the greatest country in the world. I’m so thankful my grandfather Herbert Reinisch who lied about his age so he could serve in WWII; for my uncle Leon who left college and enlisted in the Army without being drafted, to fight in Vietnam where he received not one but two Purple Hearts; for John’s grandfather Steve Hanik who fought in WWII landed on Utah Beach on D-Day, who also fought in the Korean War. He survived but was always haunted by his time in those wars; for my uncle Bill Hardage who fought in Korea before becoming a pastor back home: for so many of my sweet friends who served and are still serving our country. Lastly, I want to honor my great uncle Elton Reinisch. The baby of the family of 8 children. Who fought in the Korean War and came home to Vernon, Texas on a train in a flag-draped casket to a heroes welcome. We are thankful for those who paid the ultimate price. I’ve sat at funerals for those killed in action and for soldiers who returned home and made their communities and families better because of their leadership who were honored at the ends of their lives. If you’ve ever stood in a Veterans Cemetery and heard the 21-gun salute and Taps, you know that deep feeling of pride and honor and sadness. Thank you soldiers. We owe you a debt of gratitude and our continued admiration and prayers for your safety. God Bless America! 🇺🇸 #neverforget #memorialday by @jlajke89

Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful momma. Every day I see evidence of her influence on my life. Whether it’s something simple like how I make the bed or fold the sheets, or deeper like how to listen without interrupting or love without reservation…it’s all what I learned from my momma. Thank you for being the incredible mother you are to Jud and me, and the Mammaw to all of “dem kits.” You are so precious and I love you so much!!! 💕 by @jlajke89

Easter joy this weekend with the most precious family.I’m so very thankful for the gift of family, and the time we spend together. Most of all, I’m thankful for a Savior who died so we may live eternally with Christ. Praise the Lord, He is Risen! “The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” Matthew 28:5-6 by @jlajke89

10 years ago I became a Gigi when our Wyatt was born! The love I have for Wyatt Charles Wallace is deep and wide. My heart is so full of love for him not only today but every day. Wyatt is a born leader, the very best brother to Emmitt and Presley and the sweetest cousin! He’s infinitely kind and patient, he’s so smart and inquisitive, and the love he has for his family is a joy. I love you Wyatt!!! Happy, happy birthday kiddo! 💙🔟🧢⚾️ by @jlajke89

24 years. Yet it still feels so raw and awful. We have come a long way but this weeks events say just how far we have to go. I’ll never forget the love for each other that happened after 9/11. How we felt like we were all one together. I love this country. My prayer is for healing and unity. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” by @jlajke89

Proud doesn’t even describe how we are feeling watching Allyson get her M. Ed. this weekend at Texas Tech! To do this while being a teacher, drill team director of a 50+ member team, momma of 3 and wife is an incredible accomplishment. John and I have been blessed with amazing children and grandchildren and it is our greatest honor! We can’t wait to watch you as you continue becoming an amazing leader and mentor. We love you, Allyson! Congratulations sweet girl! by @jlajke89
