@redriverrave was pretty awesome! Our first camping fest & first edm (mostly) fest. It was hot (5) but we survived & even thrived once the sun went down. I can't wait for next year & to see how much camping & fest going we can do by then. (Snippets of some djs are later in the carousel btw). I think my fave photo is the final one- a selfie at 6 am on Sunday- genuinely happy, tired, thrilled & so proud that @docloss & I did something so new to us & how we enjoyed our time so much.

July was amazing, especially because of @its.oshebaby's residency for the month at @hiatmosphere. Storytime: At the beginning of the month, we decided to check out this Friday night set instead of going to bed early...and we danced and laughed and had an amazing time. @docloss loved going to Atmosphere & so did I. We decided to try & go to every Friday night- challenge accepted.
And we did and it has changed me for the better. I have been on a glp1 since the beginning of the year & lost an amount of weight I never thought possible since then- and that has led me to being able to wear clothing that was never an option before- and feel good in it (if you had told me this time last year I'd be dancing in public with just a sports bra on up top & feeling comfortable, I'd not have believed you). My energy has also gone up, as evidenced in going dancing on Friday nights after work. Turning 39 at the end of June also made me think where my priorities are for myself & with Losson &, well, moving, having fun & doing what we love is part of that. And now we're looking for more ways to try new things, enjoy what we already love & go on even more adventures together- and I'm really excited for what's ahead- along with more nights at Atmosphere! [And yes, the painting in the 11th photo, I did paint for Oshe based off the themes of each week].

Wow. @amtrac at @nwm.nashville was just fantastic. It was our first time at the club & we really loved it. His dj set flew by and I had a smile on my face & my feet dancing the whole time. And did I mention I almost cried a few times? His mixes were just the best & literally & physically moving. The vibes were good & it was really rad being in a pretty crowded, larger room with folks who you could tell loved the dj they were there to see. Also noticed lots of couples who were having some sweet moments & you could tell that Amtrac's music had a special place in their lives, #AmtracIsForLovers (starting the hashtag now, I'll buy some of the merch later). All this to say, Amtrac just announced a tour for his new album & if you like house music, you should go & vibe out- I know we are already looking forward to the next chance we get to! And Night We Met- we will definitely be back & ready to dance again.

Shout out to @legallyben for answering all my questions about the venue & Nashville as well! It was very appreciated!

Huge shout out to @amen.soundlab & @amfshows for an awesome show at @wanderlingerbrewing - all to raise money for children of Venezuela who were affected by recent earthquakes. Always feels good to dance knowing it's for a good cause. A highlight of our evening was getting to sit down & chat for the first time (real talk: we nerded out) with @digi.jake on music, life, love, all things. Between him, AMF & Amen Soundlab (and some other lovely folks in town), Chattanooga's edm music scene is in very good hands.

Finally made our first visit to see @chattlookouts in their new home at #ErlangerPark. I legit felt like I wasn't even in Chattanooga while I was walking thru the concourse. Really happy that @docloss 's company had an employee appreciation event at the awesome park. Also shout out to @mute0n for his Rock City birdhouse design! @amen.soundlab threw an amazing party last night at @barrelhouse.ballroom & I took a few pictures..and had a full on blast. I danced all night & loved seeing so many talented folks (and friends!) Share their passion for the music. Round 2 before too long, please!

June (the first 3 weeks): Pride month has been a good one so far. And my birthday week & little staycation starts now!

1) Loss' new happy place
2) our 10th wedding anniversary (!!!)
3) seeing @thatkevinsmith's @dogmaresurrected in theater
4) meeting @csiriano at the local drag show (technically May 31 but it was close to midnight)
5) first day on the new job- good news- loving it
6/7) the Pride pool party at @commonhousechatt
8) Finally meeting @rickyleveron IRL at said pool party
9) @amen.soundlab tunes on Saturdays have become one of my fave chill out spots.. .and the ever fashionable @opalo.cavicchioni killing it here
10) @moonflower.hairstudio has the cutest merch & do the cutest cuts (shout out @thesquirmingfoil)
11) don' tap nothing
12) huge freak storm knocked out our power for 20+ hours
13) and @kennyssouthside breakfast was the only cure for a now power Sunday morning.

Just gonna say it: @flavorless.party knows what's up.
We so enjoyed ourselves at the #tdov dance party they put together with @chattqueerempowerment & cannot wait for the next night we get to dance to Flavorless tunes. Also, @cpowers_ms_mix just blew me away. The millenial energy was real & was exactly what I didn't know I needed.

Finally got to see the lovely @hormona_lisa perform & wow. It was my first local drag show (finally) & now it's on for the next one & beyond. The second photo is what it looked like while Loss & I chatted with her for a while after the show (can I mention she is so lovely? The kinda gal you'd wanna sit around & chat with for a long time).

Being at the show was also another way that I'm keeping on doing what makes me feel like me at the end of the day. And I'm glad to keep on the journey of finding more of what makes my heart genuinely so happy.

It's never too late to start dancing. We went to see some folks DJ & it may sound silly, but it was something I had been waiting for for over 20+ years. I started listening to @bt in high school & dreamt of the day I could go to parties & just dance.

I attended some in Nashville/Murfreesboro during my college years, but it wasn't the same as going to a party at few miles from home- and find people who enjoyed the same things that I do. And I found that thanks to @amfshows. Plus I got to do it with my ride or die, @docloss. I can't wait to dance more & maybe even meet some folks.

Second take away of the weekend: Try things & make your dreams come true, no matter how small or silly you may think they are to anyone else-you are worth it, life is short.
