Can we just say thank you, and we love your guts! You, our customers, are awesome! And I am going to shout it from the rooftops, WE HAVE THE BEST EMPLOYEES!! Thanks guys!! We are giving them a very well-deserved break. Our ovens have been running 24 hours a day for a couple of weeks, and I think we all need a nap :-) We will have fresh, and hot treats and bread out of the oven first thing Tuesday, January 2! It’s almost here!!! Less than 2 weeks until we get to hear Seth squeal and hug his guts out! Seth is coming home and we are so dang excited and proud of him! He is going to miss all his friends and people who have been so kind to him in Korea. He’s leaving a big chunk of his heart there❤️❤️. We are forever grateful for the people and country that have loved our kid and changed him for the better. He will be sharing all about his time in the Seoul South, South Korea Mission on July 16th in the Avon Ward. 155 E 9400 S, Paradise, UT 84328. We love our customers! Thank you for such a fantastic year!!! We are open today with everything you may need to make Christmas perfect:). We will be closing today at 2 pm and will be closed all next week. Can’t wait to see everyone first thing Monday Jan. 2nd! We’ll have hot cinnamon rolls at 7 am! #clawson30daysofgratitude Nov. 30 It’s my last November post! I wasn’t perfect posting everyday, but I did pretty good. Today I’m posting about what 30 days of focusing on what I am grateful for has changed in my life. Ive shared this story before, but it’s quite fitting today. I call it The Parable of the Huckleberry. It actually has a very official name that I’ll share, but hang with me here:). The very first time I ever went huckleberry picking I had a really unique experience. I had been told exactly where the huckleberry fields were, I knew what the berry looked like, and I knew I wanted to pick gallons!! I was so dang excited! But I had never seen a huckleberry growing in the wild in my life. I had no idea what the huckleberry bush looked like. As our family arrived at the super secret location, I jumped out of the car and told James that those purple berries had to be close. You could smell them in the air, but I couldn’t see a single berry. I remember wanting to cry! My super secret source had said they were everywhere (@zacheng )! Eventually I sat down in frustration (I probably said a swear word if I’m being honest) and looked around. A different perspective you could say, and there were huckleberries everywhere!! They grow on the underside of the lime green feathery leaf. I didn’t have “huckleberry eyes” at first but once I noticed those little berries they were EVERYWHERE!! The actual term for this is: The Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon. It is the phenomenon where something you recently learned suddenly appears 'everywhere'. Also called Frequency Bias (or Illusion), the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon is the seeming appearance of a newly-learned (or paid attention to) concept in unexpected places. The last month of counting my blessings has done this to me. I have my “blessing eyes” on and they are everywhere! It’s the little things and the big things that seem to abound everywhere. I’ve got a really big favor to ask. I’m sending off Elder Clawson’s Christmas package today and I would really LOVE if he had a little something extra special this year besides his chocolate orange and new undies:). As you’re getting your family Christmas cards ready and in the mail, would you mind sending one to this cute missionary? I’d be happy to Venmo anyone for the international postage:).

They complete each other and bring out the best in my kids. I’m always grateful that there is someone to love my kids. Each one brings a new dynamic and sparkle to our family❤️ by @jlclawson

#clawson30daysofgratitude Nov. 24 Today I am grateful for the community I live in. Paradise and Avon are only a few miles apart and we share the same zip code, so technically we are one community. When we moved here 25 years ago I remember going to church the first time and thinking I had stepped back in time 50 years! Maybe even more:). But these people are the best people on the planet! This morning we participated in the 10th annual Gobble Wobble. So many came out to participate and cheer on their fellow neighbors. I’ve picked my burial plot and it’s along side a lot of these folks😉. I like them that much! Thanks Tom and Susan for hosting this mornjng! #clawson30daysofgratitude Nov. 22
I am so grateful for our employees!!! Oh I just love these kids! This is a smattering of all our employees who work for us now, and they represent the other 20 current employees and the 100’s of good people over the last 27 years who have worked for and with us. Over the last week or so we’ve received texts from old employees, I ran into one at the store and we talked and hugged for a long time, another came up to Logan and had to stop and say hi, and another stoped in for lunch with his wife. It’s always like seeing long lost friends. They grow up, have families, turn into amazing productive members of society, and really good people! These employees are our friends! And they are friends with each other. There’s some lifetime friend making, and even a marriage or two at Great Harvest! I am grateful how these kids represent James and me as the greet and help customers. They do such a good job! So to all our employees we have now, and all those we once had….. WE LOVE YOUR GUTS!!! Thank you for all your hard work and cheerfulness, and bright lights in the world. I am grateful for my garden today. Gardening is one of my very favorite things to do! There aren’t many things that make me more happy or excited as my garden. I have always been the beneficiary of a plentiful garden, and I took for granted all the effort that went into it each summer. The first job I ever had was weeding parsnips with my cousins and sister every mornjng from 6-8 am all summer! My grandpa had a beautiful garden my whole life. We had tons of tomatoes, beans, corn, parsnips, and zucchini! My grandpa would fill the trunk of his car with produce and deliver it to all of Pleasant View. I remember one Sunday my mom sent me over to get some green beans for Sunday dinner. My grandpa didn’t have any! Someone had come while we were all at church and picked every last bean. I was appalled and mad, but I remember my grandpa and mom weren’t upset. They said somebody must have needed those beans more than we did❤️. I love the satisfaction in seeing something grow. From seed to fruit. The sparkly colored bottles of peaches and beets just make me smile. I love the talking that’s done while weeding, the berry stained faces, the complete summer dinners eaten from the garden and the bouquets of flowers that decorate my home.
