As shared in @Luxemagazine - The owners liked (JLF Architects) architectural style—known for a pioneering use of reclaimed materials and a balanced blend of rustic and contemporary materials—as the homes in his portfolio evoke the European chalets the two had known in their youth.

“Our approach is grounded in the Western American landscape and the legacy of its hand-crafted structures. These clients have a somewhat contemporary and minimalistic style, so we wanted to recreate that, but also have their new home fit Jackson’s environment and community.” - Logan Leachman

A bedroom for true relaxation and peaceful slumbers. A giant hearth helps to cozy up the airy primary bedroom in this residence known as the Creamery. On one side of the fireplace is the bed while a snug seating area waits on the other.

We included timeless elements such as reclaimed wood and Montana stone in this Jackson home. Touches of steel in a large custom-forged range hood over the island, as ceiling beams, and as cabinetry trim, give historical materials a fresh, modern direction.

Coffee stations are trending as a sought-after kitchen design that keeps specialized equipment away from primary cooking and prep zones – which was achieved in our Park City “Wasatch Range Revival” whole-house remodel we did with @Bigdsignature. Here, the specialty zone includes a separate, cozy, coffee-for-two island to start the day. Raising our mugs to National Coffee Day.

For this Jackson house we designed a log cabin-style primary suite, which elevates into the surrounding tree canopy on a stone foundation and connects to the main house via a glass-lined corridor.

“As the dwelling’s architectural envelope makes broad use of reclaimed materials—see the patina of the oak thresher flooring, the kitchen’s rustic corral-board paneling, the weathered timber beams spanning the home—a meticulous eye for aesthetics proved important.” – As seen in @Luxemagazine on a Jackson house we designed that was featured in the Rockies issue.
