It's been several years since I made a vessel. It's been nice to explore sculpting on vessels with a few of my recent pieces, including this forest god one.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by @giantrobotstore for "KILN II " this past weekend. It meant a lot to see familiar faces and talk clay with everyone!

It is an honor to show at GR2 Gallery with this group of ceramicists. Thank you for wilding out about clay.

There were definitely some questions about Kyūbi no kitsune. All nine tails are sculpted, hollowed out, and then attached to the body in stages so they don't collapse under the weight. The more tails a kitsune has, the more powerful they are. So, nine tails is a very powerful yokai 🦊

"coral reef kaijū" is excited to be a part of "Worlds Within Worlds" opening this Saturday at @keystoneartla !

Opening reception is Saturday, October 10th, from 4 - 9 pm.
The exhibition is on view until October 18th. I hope you can stop by!

This was one of the first ideas I sketched out for this show. I was born and raised in Florida where I grew up snorkeling on rock reefs. The beaches I ran wild on have changed due to erosion and climate change but it's still where I spend most of my time when I go back.

Thank you to @jassermembreno for the invite to participate and wrangling the bts logistics 👹 by @jlima_studio

"play date" opens today at @amphi____ and these mini ceramic pool toys are coming out to play! 🐊

Opening reception 4-8pm today, September 12th. On view until October 18th at AMPHI Gallery.

Thank you to @axelwilhite for the invite to participate and to AMPHI for all the bts work.

I'm a born and raised Floridian who grew up swimming in pools and the Atlantic Ocean. There was often the ubiquitous gator pool toy in my grandparents' pool. Imagine the smell of chlorine, the feel of the hot concrete patio, and the light bouncing off the water's surface. There's something a bit macabre about playing on an inflatable that's a formidable predator. Alligators are quite common in SoFL - in canals, retention ponds and in the Everglades. It always made headlines when a gator encounter ended badly for the human involved. But, what if the alligator's boundaries were respected? by @jlima_studio
