In this watercolor landscape, I really tried to focus on depth in perspective… slowly but surely finding my way :) I hope everyone’s day is starting great! by @jlowatercolor

It’s a squash! What kind? I have no flippin idea, I just thought the shape was interesting and I’m trying to mentally accept the end of summer 🌞 I painted this with a variety of watercolors on thin cotton paper, using a @princetonbrush No. 8 Heritage brush. by @jlowatercolor

Still practicing my tree paintings whenever I can 🌳 Something I tell students that take workshops with me- don’t take to heart any of these online tutorials that have words like “easy” and “quick” in the title. They are meant to get views and do not accurately reflect the time and practice it takes to learn how to paint seemingly “simple” subject matter. 💞 by @jlowatercolor

Just a tree, living on a rock, trying to make a way 💙

I painted this on @archespapers cold-pressed paper, using a mix of watercolors and a @princetonbrush aqua elite brush 🖌️ taken in Wisconsin, USA by @jlowatercolor

Throughout the process of learning to paint with watercolor, I (like many artists) have tried to figure out what my “style” is. At first, the thought stressed me out- then I realized that journey is part of what it means to be an artist- then I realized it doesn’t matter and I need to just keep creating… finding my style and myself along the way. Does that sound corny? Probably, but it’s true 💕 by @jlowatercolor
