We just received a box from artist Will Wilson, and I’m excited to share his work with you!

Will’s paintings are an echo of pop culture without mimicking it. He likes to create images that are both bold and direct, but also swimming with little details for those who are willing to investigate. I find them to be fun, exciting, and filled with quirky nuggets to enjoy!

Artist Jeffrey Smith welcomed me into his studio Monday afternoon to see his process and to hear his story.

It was an absolute pleasure seeing where all of his intricate beaded artwork takes form. His work will be part of “With Bated Breath”, a group show including Kristen Letts Kovak and Joshua Hogan premiering August 8th at the gallery.

These works by Mark Poss certainly capture the atmospheric feeling right now!

“Cold River” and “Dreamland” have a hazy ethereal look that is reminiscent of morning fog here by the rivers in Western Pennsylvania. Soft and settling, Poss’s oil paintings are relaxing and familiar.

Both of these works, plus more by Mark, are on view now as part of the current exhibit “Contemporary Landscapes through the end of the month.
