“Work Hard, Play Hard, Have Fun and NEVER Give Up”- Jim Sterling AKA My Daddy ❤️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Dad, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since you have been gone. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. It’s been hard at times but we have all adjusted. I know you are watching over all of us and looking down proud of us. You always instilled in us that giving up is never an option and there have been times where I have wanted to but then can hear your voice and see that face you would give us and well, I push through and come out better and stronger because of it. The family has grown over the years with lots of new additions, BOYS lots of boys lol, but we are truly blessed! Kingston especially loves hearing stories about his Poppy and we love telling them. I miss you everyday and some days more than others but I am SUPER LUCKY to have you as my Dad! Thank you for being my Dad and giving us this incredible family that we have. I know you’re up there with all the others we have lost along the smiling down on us and watching all the games, lol so many games! I love you ALWAYS and miss you a million! 🤗❤️🍀 by @jlsterling007

This is a day none of us will ever forget. 🇺🇸❤️
I was a freshman at the University of South Carolina, living out my dream of cheering at a D1 school!
I went to class that morning, and as I walked in, I saw it all happen on TV. We then sat in the halls for hours, trying to process what was happening.
Knowing I had family in New York was terrifying. I may not see them as often as I’d like, but they are my family, and I was scared. I tried calling my parents. I got my Dad, and eventually I got my Mom, whose brother was NYPD at the time and whose cousins were FDNY.
Thankfully, my family was spared, and they all came home that day. But they were also the heroes that day. ❤️
My family members have since retired from the NYPD and FDNY, but I still have a cousin in the FDNY, and he’s the BEST! 🚒❤️
I had the opportunity to go back to NYC this August and visit the 9/11 Memorial. It was AMAZING. The last time I saw it, it was still a hole. Seeing what it has become is something I will never forget.
I also got to visit the One World Observatory at One World Trade Center. And proudly, I have another cousin who helped build it. I am SO proud of my family and the country we live in.
Thank you to all the men and women who ran toward the danger to save lives, those who searched for and pulled out their brothers and sisters, and everyone who served and sacrificed that day and in the years since.
You are all heroes. We will NEVER FORGET.
God Bless America. 🇺🇸❤️ by @jlsterling007
