Another race weekend down, and a huge reminder of what really matters.

Motorcross, the sport built on big risk. Every time they line up at the gate, they know what’s at stake and the rewards run so much deeper than a trophy. It’s the community, the lifelong friends, and the family who show up, step in, and look out for one another through every high and low.

At the end of the day, placement never matters. Safety always does.

Endlessly grateful to the higher powers, @alpinestarsmx for making one helluva helmet that brought the kid home safe, our amazing family, and the best crew out there. We’ll regroup, enjoy a little break and be ready for the next one. 🙏🏁 by @jmaas283

The Jack Pine 100!!

Another full weekend of racing and more to come 😅

Starting with the Family Pine Cone on Saturday, which served up a quick reminder of just how unforgiving the terrain can be. One hard hit and a slightly bruised ego cut the kid's ride short, but he dusted off, regrouped, and rallied for Sunday's main event.

Come Sunday morning, over 700 registered riders disappeared into a thick cloud of dust for the legendary 100th Annual Jack Pine Enduro. Nearly 70 miles of riding! Blinded by dirt, a snapped shock spring, and keeping the eventual overall winner @tvore101 from a few rows back off his rear wheel up until the very end, @jmaas283 fought his way to a top-10 class finish and 35th overall!

All that finished had a lot to be proud of and thankful to finish safely--pit crews included! Dashing between remote access points to keep the machines topped off and the riders fueled with food is a high-stress dance of logistics. It looks simple on video, but it’s anything but.

Friends, fresh northern air, and fast bikes. 🌲🏁

Back-to-back moto weekends coming in hotttttt! Proud sideline supporter of the sport they love most. Equal parts thrilling and hoping for a safe finish - they definitely enjoy testing all mom's nerves 😅

But beyond the racing, it’s always about the people and the memories. We sprinkled in a birthday celebration with an incredible crew! 14yrs with the kid who gives us all the reasons to stay moving....🙃

My first time at 10 Pines, and getting to trade a dry, dusty field for tall trees and crisp northern air was a win in my book! Heading back up this weekend for another round at the historic Jack Pine!! #100yrs

It isn't always glamorous work, but it sure is rewarding. To take down decades of abandoned structures that once had their use, and clean up areas that were overgrown and out of control, felt like a step in the direction for a better space. To be ENJOYED instead of avoided.

Still a lonnnng road ahead to get us where we want to be, but here's to getting a lot done in a little amount of time. #alotwithalittle by @jmaas283

One year older, a couple gears slower - took some (much needed) time to soak up the stillness from the weekend.

Mud, Sweat, and Beers 2026 was the perfect TC reset before the next wave of events. Nothing beats fresh air and good company to clear the head—cheering everyone on at the lonnnnng gravel climb was the absolute highlight of the day! If weather shows (my) favorable conditions, I'll catch ya on course the next time!

And thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! 🥳 by @jmaas283

Barry Roubaix.
Signed up on a whim. Forgot about it all winter. Fell in love with bikes again just in time. Mother Nature did just what I needed. Epic sunshine and warmth for a pre ride, then cold and rain for some extra adversity during the race. Very fortunate to have such a cool cycling community in west Michigan. The results are public, but they don’t show what happens during the moments between the start and finish. Being on bikes, surrounded by others doing the same, has become greater than I used to realize. Looking forward to more. Thank you @tiffany_kline for supporting during the week, and showing up in time to celebrate. 2 wheel summer 👊 taken in Hastings, Michigan by @jmaas283

Last minute decision to head to @bcmcmx for Round 1 of the @michigansprintenduros . @tiffany_kline knew I needed it! The conditions were perfect and the racing was fun as always. Record turnout this year. 391 racers in the afternoon. Avery has been timid since moving to the YZ, but he made us all proud. 18th in Open C with a roster of over 50 riders and finished with a big smile! I was able to snag 5th in Open A and less than a minute off from top 20 overall. The whole family enjoyed the day in the sun, including the 2 track pups 🐶 . Sounds like we will be at the next round! But first, we are going to go pedal some bikes 🚲

I need a director’s cut because 90 seconds isn't enough for our 2025 year. 🥂✨️

Not only did we celebrate major moments in the first 5 months [baby showers, weddings, graduation, birthdays], we intentionally celebrated more of the little dances in between [garden days, track days, trail rides, dinners together]. Making the *everyday* moments worth more than just a memory.

Part 1 of many. 🎞️ by @jmaas283

Iceman 25… I really thought I could just “show up,” have a decent finish and a ton of fun. The difference this year is my mileage was less than 1/2 of my normal low. Regardless, I lined up toward the front of wave 6, and once we took off, the 🔥 was lit! I started to (falsely) believe I was going to have a best finish ever. That lasted all of about 11 miles, and my lack of bike time, and my body in general, just dropped anchor. It was apparent that the season of dirtbikes vs cycling had taken its toll and I was in desperate need of some rest. The problem was, the race had just started.
Once I got to “make it stick” I knew the vibes would be high! @keentechnicalsolutions would have the drums and music going, and @filterthemessage would be directing the fun! Plus my lovely and supportive @tiffany_kline would be somewhere near the top of the climb with live video rolling. All of these things pushed me to get my head back in it, at least for them. At the bottom I went for it, faking my way to the top, I actually felt great over the top and into the next section. I kept pushing the pedals all the way to sand lakes, people were starting consistently pass me by now, vibe was gone, I was feeling weak and hungry. I pedaled on, and took my remaining nutrition. But then things got even darker, and colder, the miles were taking longer, with 6 to go I literally pulled over and got off my bike, I needed to regroup, badly, I was in a lot of discomfort. I’ve never paused in a bike race. With no choice but to keep riding, I had to do just that. Then, with 3 to go, the Final Aid Station! I needed this, once again paused, and took all the fruit and water the amazing volunteers were willing to share. It was the life saver of the day!! I was set to finish. I jumped in with a group, who I could actually hang with, and by icebreaker I was able to make passes, on wood chip too, and into the bike park! The finish was finally here, the crowd was cheering, and the magic of Iceman had shown itself as it always does. This event is truly special in so many ways. Thank you, to everyone involved, and to all of our friends, new and old, who we got to see this past weekend. ❤️ 🚲 🌲 🍺 taken in Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort by @jmaas283

Over 6,000 riders and *countless* supporters on the sidelines! The spirit of the Iceman Cometh is all about the people. An incredible weekend spent catching up with friends, supporting all the racers, and celebrating the biking community together! Cheers to another fun year! 🚴‍♀️🍻 taken in Traverse City, Michigan by @jmaas283
