My little baby boy turns 24 today!
How the time zips by. Christian, you’ve always been kind, thoughtful, and empathetic, traits that I think explain your love of history. You see value in the human story, both past and present, and you strive to understand perspectives beyond your own. The world needs more people like you.
Graduation is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve accomplished, and all that’s still ahead.

It’s been a while since I posted sewing content. I finished this skirt a while ago, but haven’t worn it yet because I have a hard time seeing past the mistakes. If I made this again I would choose a slightly heavier fabric. This cotton blend is so thin that it doesn’t maintain the waistband and yoke structure very well even though it is interfaced. Maybe I’ll try starching the waistband next time I wear it to see if that helps. Also, I wish I had not topstitched with a contrasting color.
