1 month ownership update: still smiling!! doing lots of small refreshes/fixes (with the help of @rvndylim 🤝) to keep things showroom fresh. i also vibe coded an ownership dashboard but it’s littered with random problems LOL so I’ll share that when it’s more stable. now that summer season is here can’t wait to enjoy this b!! by @jmaxx38

growing up, going to the SF auto show was a yearly tradition. after taking BART to the city my mom would wait in the food court reading the newspaper while I ran obsessively from car to car, sitting in every seat and pressing every button I could find. I would even put the seatbelt on and imagine I was going somewhere new every time I sat in something different LOL. it’s core memories like these that give cars (and my mom!) such a special place in my heart.

these 550s were always kind of blah to me. maybe I wasn’t the right age for these to make a strong impression on me. i feel like modern Ferrari designs really started to hit around the f430/enzo era

as a kid I really thought more grown ups drove fun cars like this Lotus Elise. it wasn’t until I got older did I understand how life could get in the way of owning things that make people happy, but I think that’s all the more reason to have things that make regular moments (like running errands) so special.

i’ve driven over 200,000 miles since getting my license way back in the day and these are the non negotiable items I’ve learned to keep with me no matter what car I’m in. maybe it’s because I used to be a Boy Scout (yes, really) but being prepared for anything is such a comforting feeling.

Excuse my alfalfa hair BUT the point of this video isn’t to say that everyone who has a Tesla should get a G-wag because it’s cheaper, but rather to demonstrate that everyone’s situation is unique and your dreams could be closer than you think.

Highlighting 2 cars at opposite ends of the price spectrum to reveal what taste and preferences look like on both ends.

What does it mean when a car built for the masses comes filled with bright distracting screens (that you can subscribe to features on and even be shown ads), while the latest supercar (that you have to be invited to purchase) seems to celebrate its return to the analog?

The elite have always been able to opt out of inconvenient things, and this time is no different. Are the rest of us destined to be like those hover chair people in Wall-E?? LOL by @jmaxx38
