#REPOST @chrisandfinck - Flying Past an Abandoned Cable Car Station 🚡

"What a fun flight! After a great morning hike I got to fly back towards Grindelwald past the famous Wetterhorn Elevator. It’s celebrated as Switzerland’s first modern aerial cableway, but ceased operations in 1915 due to a collapse in tourism brought on by the outbreak of World War I. What a wild way to learn about places like this, but without this jump I would have never known. On to the next! w" @download_repost_pro #aerosmith #skydiving #flying by @jmd_collosum

#REPOST @operahistory - A universal language of mourning and peace. 🏛️🕊️ Originally written in 1936 as the legendary “Adagio for Strings,” Samuel Barber’s masterpiece became the world’s anthem for collective grief after being performed at the funerals of Presidents Roosevelt and JFK. 🇺🇸🪦 In 1967, Barber reimagined the music for a choral setting of the Latin Agnus Dei (“Lamb of God, grant us peace”). What once belonged to the strings is now sustained entirely by human breath. In this stunning performance, the eight voices of VOCES8 demonstrate extraordinary control and balance, moving from delicate plainchant into rich, tightly tuned harmonies that eventually dissolve into a powerful stillness. ✨💎

#REPOST @peruvianrestaurantguide - Chifa isn’t Chinese.
And it isn’t Peruvian either.

It’s what happened when two cultures met in one kitchen.

In the 19th century, thousands of Chinese immigrants arrived in Peru.
They brought their woks, their techniques… and their way of cooking with fire.

In Peru they discovered something new:
ají amarillo, scallions, rice, and bold flavors.

From that encounter, something unique was born: Chifa.

A cuisine that became part of Peru’s heart…
and that today continues to conquer tables around the world.

🔥🍜

—
Keeping the tradition of Chifa alive in the United States.

Special thanks to @elrocotorestaurant and @rocotopescabar for helping keep this tradition alive.

#REPOST @dailychoirs - At ACDA 2025, the Georgia State University Singers (@georgiastatechoirs) delivered a performance that redefined “stillness.” Ernesto Herrera’s “Agnus Dei” is a tapestry of shifting light and shadow, using intricate harmonic clusters to build a plea for peace that feels both ancient and urgent.

Under the baton of Deanna Joseph, the ensemble navigates these dense, shimmering textures with crystalline clarity.
💭 Headphones highly recommended!
