When I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, everything changed. I had lost a lot of weight, felt drained, and honestly wondered if I would ever be able to get back on the baseball field and chase the dreams I had worked for my whole life.

But diabetes didn’t take baseball away from me; it taught me how to approach the game, my body,
and my goals in a completely different way. Managing diabetes means showing up every day, whether I’m training, competing, studying, or just living life. There are no days off from diabetes, but there are also no limits to what I can accomplish.

Getting back on the mound as a Division I pitcher has been one of the biggest accomplishments of
my journey. With my Dexcom G7, I have real time glucose data that helps me better understand my body and stay prepared, whether I’m on the field or off it.

Being part of Dexcom U Season 5 means more to me than being on a roster. It gives me the opportunity
to connect with other athletes living with diabetes, share what I’ve learned, and hopefully be the person I needed when I was first diagnosed. I want young athletes to see someone who has been through it and know that their dreams are still possible.

I’m proud to be part of a group of 27 college athletes across 13 sports who are showing the next
generation that diabetes doesn’t define our limits. This journey has made me stronger, more disciplined, and more grateful, and I’m just getting started. ⚾️

I’m excited to announce that I’ve officially been chosen to be a part of DEXCOM U! 🙌🏽

Just 10 months ago, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and at that moment, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever step back on the field again. But here I am, not only back… but better!

Thanks to my Dexcom G7, managing my diabetes has become smoother, allowing me to perform at the highest level, both physically and mentally. This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s taught me discipline, responsibility, and the importance of gratitude.

Now, I’m on a mission to inspire other young athletes with T1D and remind them that the sky is truly the limit when you believe in yourself and stay committed.
