People ask what tournament prep actually looks like:

The week before a tournament, I'm not doing anything different. The work has already been put in.

What I focus on the week of:

**Course research.** I study the layout, make a gameplan, think through my misses. Every course plays differently in the Paragolfer. The preparation has always helped me immensely visualizing.

**Equipment check.** Club heads/grooves, shafts, grips, ball — everything gets inspected. Nothing surprises me on the first tee.

**Mental reset.** The ability to compartmentalize is something I've gotten a lot better at. Switching gears and locking on is critical for me.

Golf was part of my family growing up. My dad, Grandpas, and uncles. After my spinal cord injury, I thought I'd lost the ability to share that forever. It wasn't just a physical loss. It was a massive mental-health hit.

The Paragolfer changed that. Once I started scoring well, and start beating really all of the able-bodied golfers I was golfing with, I wanted to compete.

Every shot I take this season starts with the same gear.

Bridgestone Tour B RX Mindset balls. True Temper shafts. ICON grips.

Adaptive golf has different equipment demands — and having partners who back you with the best makes a difference.

Extremely grateful to Bridgestone Golf and True Temper for riding through Season 4 with me.

Most people have never seen a Paragolfer in person. If you follow adaptive golf, you probably know what it is. But for a lot of golf fans, it's still a complete unknown.

A Paragolfer is a specialized individual golf cart that elevates a wheelchair user to a full standing position, allowing for a full golf swing (either one-handed or two-handed). It changes who gets to compete.

I have been competing in one since 2023. Here's what most people don't see:

**The physical demand is real.** Operating a Paragolfer mid-round isn't passive. Getting in, adjusting for uneven terrain, maintaining stability on sloped fairways and bunker, and much more is very difficult. It requires upper body strength, core control, and a lot of mental focus alongside the actual golf swing.

**The equipment matters as much as the setup.** Shaft selection, grip feel, ball flight all still apply. The setup is dialed in the same way any competitive golfer's bag is dialed in.

**The competition is serious.** I compete in the G9/G10 seated division at USAGA events and the Seated division at the USGA Adaptive Open. These aren't recreational rounds. They're ranked, scored, and run by the same standards as any professional golf event.

9 wins in 11 events. That's the result of the setup, the work, and the consistency.

USGA Qualifier is done. Played a good practice round Sunday. Tough front nine Monday. Started with a 3-putt bogey, then a water ball. Found a groove, but was too little too late. Additionally, weather pushed play to Tuesday and I came back flat.

Not the outcome I wanted.

What I take from it: the game is there. The work is closing the gap and sustaining it when it counts.

Chicago Adaptive Open, June 13–14. That's next, and attempting to defend my G9 Title

Indiana Adaptive Open is in the books. Four hours of weather delays Round 2. Played poorly unfortunately. I did come away with hardware from my division though!

This was the first of Season 4 tournaments, and it was warmup reps before the qualifier.

Next Tournament: Chicago Adaptive Open, June 13–14. Eyes forward. Defending the G9 title!

An amazing day on the course for a great cause!

I had the honor of serving as a golf coach for the U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance (USAGA) at the McLaren Adaptive Golf Clinic, held at Warwick Hills in conjunction with the Ally Challenge. This was my first time ever coaching golf, and it was a privilege to work with two incredible golfers in particular, Allison and Jeff.

It was inspiring to work with over 40 adaptive golfers in total, helping them experience the game we all love. It's a powerful reminder that with the right tools and mindset, a disability is no barrier to enjoying this incredible sport. Seeing their passion and progress was a true highlight.

Thank you to McLaren Health Care and the USAGA for putting on such a great event and for helping grow the game of golf for everyone. What a fantastic way to kick off the Ally Challenge tournament week!

Had an incredible time at the 28th Annual Athletes Unlimited Golf Outing yesterday at Oak Pointe Country Club!

It was an honor to be a featured athlete and to share my story with everyone. Thank you to my amazing foursome for a memorable day on the course—and thank you to everyone who participated and contributed.

I won the putting playoff for some Lions tickets! I never had to putt in a ballroom before and definitely didn't expect a break in the putt! I may have won on a technicality with the "closest to" the hole, but a win is a win, right? 😂

Thank you, Athletes Unlimited / @athletesunlimited_ for everything you do and for a fantastic day supporting such a vital mission. Your generosity is what makes life possible for so many athletes and ensures that for us, life is never a spectator sport.

Finished up at Hawk Hollow GC for the 70th Michigan Adaptive Golf Championship yesterday

On the performance front, I didn't quite bring my A-game for the full two rounds, been the same story all season unfortunately. It took me a bit too long to get going, but I'm happy with how I locked in and finished strong over the last 8 holes. Definitely something to build on!

Now, the countdown is on! I have 70 days until my last tournament of the season, the GAP Adaptive Championship, starting October 6th. I'm channeling this fire into practice and fully intend to bring my absolute best game, carrying that momentum right through the offseason.

Onwards and upwards!
