Universal Fan Fest Nights. My first! And possibly not my last. I wasn’t sure I would enjoy it, but somehow, being in the moment, I relived my “Live Long and Prosper” William Shatner Star Trek obsession.

Super Nintendo World otherwise know as Mario’s World in my brain - though I never really played it irl, was a hands down hit because it was just so sugoi and cute and immersive. Plus side, NotSoLilGirl met the blue Yoshi. Cute pics all around. Like NotSoLilGirl said, “I knew you‘d like it!” Still dreaming of that mushroom soup at Toadstool Cafe.

Dungeons and Dragons - never played it, have watched some movies, but just struck by how theming and details brings immersive experiences together. And the magic and artistry of building and seeing the one eyed monstrosity move was definitely top-tier. Loved the live action characters.

Back to the Future - maybe next time we’ll drop in at 10:06 pm to see the clock tower chime and catch the show at Hill Valley.

Jujutsu Kaisen - no pics, didn’t think much of it when I was lining up towards the end of the night, but I thoroughly enjoyed the immersive 3D experience. Manga Anime. Who would have thought?!

And of course, the rides:
Jurassic the Ride - super fun at night. Zero to no lines. And no, I didn’t get as wet as I thought I would. Highly recommended as the animatronics carry their own weight when the night is dark.

The Mummy - when it’s cold and dark, adds another element of suspense. And when there’s little to no lines, yay!

Harry Potter - easy walk on when the Wizarding show is up and lit. Met one Baby Dragon (and apparently a Niffler). Maybe next time we’ll see an Occamy.

Whether you celebrated Mama’s Day today, earlier, or plan on doing something later, here’s to mums and mothers around the world! Whether the kiddos be two-legged or four-legged, cheers, salut, sante, to the moms that do everything they do for their kiddos, big and small, because they simply love them.

And just Ike that, four years at Pepperdine completed! Two majors, two theses, two department awards, two studies abroad. What a journey filled with unforgettable memories, forever friends, and trusted mentors!

From the quiet, introverted, extremely shy, velcro baby NotSoLilGirl, to who she is today: incomparable, exceptional, insanely talented (possibly some bias here, but this mama’s heart is bursting!).

Grit, grace, and God came through in bringing her along this path as a wildly creative, highly technical, artistic, kind, and oh so loving human.

Somehow this mama did something right with the help of an astoundingly supportive group of family and friends, both near and far.

Here’s to the next phase of NotSoLilGirl’s journey, whatever it may be. God’s blessings as you fly, my lil birdie, fly!

In awe of the creative force of this NotSoLilGirl. So unbelievably proud of who she is, what she has accomplished, and what she stands for. Her art, her vision, her concept, her words. sunset. when the sun lowers and puts itself to sleep with the lull of the waves and the ocean breeze. when laughter trills above the roar of jet engines. and seagulls and pelicans beat their wings to float high and low. where one or two or more gather, cloaked in golden hues. and nature’s paintbrush sweeps the sky while time tick tocks till the breaking of the dawn. by @jmpnjk

It’s been a lil while.

It’s a lazy Sunday. Doing laundry. Self-care. Bingeing Netflix, Prime, and Hulu.

Had a slice of Zucchini and Goat Cheese pizza from Zinqué sitting in the fridge. Which somehow seemed to call for a sunny side egg.

And because I just couldn’t cook it runny at home, that yolk was well baked for the sunny side up. Sprinkled with freshly ground pepper and Himalayan salt. Just right. Just perfect.

Definitely hit the spot. Plate clean. No crumbs. Cheers-ing with the sparkling h20.

Now back to dreary life chores and thoughts of the Monday workday coming up. Hallelujah 🎶 by @jmpnjk

Well, didn’t get to post before midnight, as was my original plan. Also means the window passed for cancelling Disney reservations before MN

So here’s a little poking fun at the me, myself, and i as i get some (korean skincare) beauty rest before the sun rises in 5 hrs and 26 minutes and counting for some Disneyland moments that are meant to be because they have to be 😌 by @jmpnjk

HMart Vegan Frozen Kimbap. Rolling with the food kick. Something quick, simple, and frozen. Plucked from the freezer.

Tossed into a heated oiled pan for several minutes each side. Made the rice a little crunchy. Just the way I like it. Had a chili crisp, vinegar, soy sauce dipping sauce by @jmpnjk
