POSTS STORIES REELS

Will be doing an Ask Me Anything on Reddit at the Resident Evil subreddit answering questions about my time as Leon Scott Kennedy in the cg movies and video games. You can ask about other stuff too (Demolition Lovers etc) especially if it can crossover into the Biohazard Resident Evil universe.

On reddit, you'll just add questions under the announcement any time from right now until Sunday 2pm (pacific time). Just look for the AMA link in my bio or go directly to the announcement post pinned to the top of r/ResidentEvil on Reddit.

Leave some super creative questions and let me know in the comments here after you've posted on reddit so I make sure give you a good answer Sunday

EKUAZ Studio action figure of one of my portrayals of Leon Scott Kennedy. Please request me locally as an autograph signing guest so I can earn myself one of these little guys.

Contrary to popular belief, many of us video game talent purchase the Resident Evil titles and merch we're in. Also Life on the Murder Scene records and dvds

You can usually submit guest requests to your local fan convention or comic con on their website as sometimes the promotors are brainstorming for ideas on who to invite.

From the first frame, I could tell Katseye's Hootie Frooti music video is an homage to the Britney Spears I'm A Slave 4U classic Lots of Easter Eggs in this one including the scenes I was Lucky enough to take part in early in my career

Leon Kennedy face model Jamisin Matthews and Albert Wesker face model Atesh Salih swap stories about the relentless audition grind and how industry expectations change as you age. Jamisin admits that maintaining a flawless physique for younger, shirtless roles meant he'd literally skip meals on set just to stay competitive. When Atesh asks if he prefers his current era of playing the 40-something dad, Jamisin is completely on board. He's more than happy to leave the intense physical pressure to the 21-year-olds and finally just enjoy his lunch break.

Can't believe I waited so long to get a couple Wii Zappers

2005 ACT under Just Cause Productions. At the time these trainings were innovative. Video game motion capture, facial Scans, face capture, voice acting, fight choreo, weapons and stunts were (and many times still are) usually separate but this production company brought everything together so one performer could do as many things as possible making the characters they portrayed be more real real almost a more method approach.

Here, ideally, we learned everything plus cinematography. We trained a few times a week under Rueben Langdon (who also co-owned the production company) from roughly 2003 to the mid late 2000s. When I first came on, we trained in a small studio in the bottom of a parking lot.

Though I auditioned for other roles in the Resident Evil / Biohazard franchise and other IPs, and just provided Leon Kennedy's photographic face scans, I still had to acquire this skill set over years to be in the mix.

I later recreated this type of program (with a more MMA style and basic "parkour") for the City of Los Angeles and introduced 100s of city kids to this type of training for years until covid hit.

I didn't tag anyone because this is 20 year old training footage but I see Scott, Kerry, Ken, Chris, Sam and of course Rueben (still with the dyed Dante hair from the DMC promo - also the previs for that promo may have been filmed in this gym) as well as me and Arron with alternate timeline hair

And now for my next Announcement!

I have the amazing opportunity to have a Heroic Conversation with Jamisin Matthews!

Jamisin Matthews is a model who provided the face for Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

Jamisin also modelled for My Chemical Romance as the Demolition Groom! A character featured in the My Chemical Romance concept lore, specifically associated with the Life on the Murder Scene era and the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge storyline!

So join the conversation when the video goes live later this year!
