WHERE IS THE NATIONAL NEWS??? WHERE ARE ALL THE PODCAST AND SOCIAL MEDIA LIVES???
Where are all you #conservative and #liberal talking heads that spent so much time on all these social media platforms talking about Karmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf where are you now? First a 32 year old whit guy named Brandon M. Watt used his fist and a 2x4 board to beat a 70 year old black man after harassing him and yelling racial slurs! This other white guy William Milliken III shows up to a #church in High Point, North Carolina wearing body armor CO2-powered launcher designed to resemble a handgun, Two flamethrowers, Two crossbows, More than 500 rounds of ammunition, Rolls of black duct tape (three yards), Three knives, Oxycodone pills. Milliken also had a notebook with the addresses of churches, schools and public buildings in the community, all while the church was in the midst of service!

A MOTHER’S LOVE

She was the first sky I ever knew.
Before I learned the language of prayer,
I learned the sound of her heartbeat—
steady as rain on a weary rooftop,
soft as God whispering to the dark.
A mother’s love is not delicate.
It is not merely lullabies and warm bread.
It is war.
It is sacrifice wrapped in silence.
It is sleepless nights stitched together
with trembling faith and tired hands.
She carried entire storms in her chest
so her children could sleep through thunder.
She has mastered the holy art
of breaking herself into pieces
without letting anyone hear the crack.
A mother will stand in the fire smiling,
telling her babies the flames are only light.
Who else can turn hunger into dinner,
fear into courage,
and an empty pocket into a miracle?
Even when the world forgets her name,
the walls of her house remember.
The floorboards remember her footsteps at midnight.
The sink remembers the tears she hid
between soap bubbles and running water.
The mirror remembers how she looked at herself
only after everyone else was whole.
There are women walking this earth
whose crowns were never made of gold—
only grocery lists, unpaid bills, aching backs,
and love so enormous
it could make heaven kneel.
A mother’s love does not end.
Not with distance.
Not with time.
Not even with death.
It lingers.
In recipes written without measurements.
In old voicemails.
In the way you fold towels.
In the songs you hum unknowingly.
In every strength you possess
that you swore you found alone.
Somewhere inside you,
her voice still says:
“Get up. Keep going. You were born for tomorrow.”
And when life becomes unbearably heavy,
when the night feels endless
and the world turns cruel—
you will discover that a mother’s love
is the one candle
that never truly burns out.
It becomes your compass.
Your shelter.
Your first home.
Your final prayer.
Because long after her hands are gone,
her love remains—
like sunlight refusing
to leave the horizon by @jmuhammad4x
