Part two of our trip back to PA. Really love it back there. Great to be with the family and we got lucky with awesome weather the entire time. Congrats to Britt and Brett love you both. Trip back to Pittsburgh with Audrey part 1. Such an amazing time. We scored great weather and it felt so good to be back in the home state. We got on the Incline in Pittsburgh up to Mt. Warshington - that view of the city is seriously incredible. The Andy Warhol Museum was awesome - cool dude to learn about. Saw Grandma and the whole Mullen family at her house that was awesome, we gave them some sugar pine cones. Drove past this random Steeler mural on some garage on the way to Erie, that’s when the “good omen” count started and it didn’t stop until the game. We went to Presque Isle - it’s so beautiful up there, some guy was flying these huge animal kites so that was a cool surprise. Hanging with Mom was great, eating huge dinners and chilling at her new and incredible house. That lawn view is second to none. Her, The Tursky’s and my Brother have done amazing work with that place. Could hangout there all day. Saw a nice Whitetail. Had a delicious family dinner all together at Timber Creek, then went to Uncle Tim’s after and had a great get together with the bonfire. Quality quality time spent with Audrey and the family.

Turns All Year (10 Years)
Snowboarding year round was never even really a thought. It just kinda started naturally happening that one year with Adam, Chip, and Ben. We were all just stoked to hang out and make some turns in the summer together. Then it turned into a yearly streak to keep going. I guess you could say we’re too stubborn to let things come to an end. Because we kept doing it. Some easier years than others. Finding big patches and small depending on the winter snowfall. Which also required sometimes to hike (or drive) to some psychotic spots and crazy distances. I’ll never forget hiking to Lyell Glacier with Ben and Chip we were riding on sheer ice with seriously 3 points of contact on the board. Or meeting up with Jeff and riding sun ups that I swear were taller than us. Seriously endless good times hiking to small patches of snow just to keep the streak going. I love everyone that I ever did one of the TAY missions with and it is the ultimate example of - if you don’t got people down to do it - it just wouldn’t happen. So love and to respect to all of you that’s been there along the way you all know who you are. Cheers to making the best turns possible on shitty small patches. Some people want to laugh at the small patch stuff but they’ll never be able to say they made turns every month for 10 years straight. So I can hold my head high with that. Also it’s never easy making that shit happen in summer time with a full time job. Usually it would mean take the 1 or 2 days we had off to do some psycho mission. Or day trips down the Eastern Sierra. It all hasn’t been a walk in the park but we keep getting it done. So here’s to another month and to keeping the streak going. Why not? Turns All Year with @chipswitit another one dahnnnnnnnnnnn. Small patch but it was a small winter! 🤷‍♂️ Always stoked to keep the streak going. Grateful for the homies that do it and the ones that help keep it alive.

Last day of June. I literally remember saying at the car I’d be so stoked to get any nice size fish. I told my pops I’d give him my bank account if I got a good brown. No shit in the most unlikely holding spot bang a nice brown ate. Beautiful day out there with @e.saathoff and Jackson who is up there w the best fishing dogs in the world.

Shwacked another good one yesterday! Stoked! It’s funny when you go from hooking some avg trouts or dinkers to then hooking up on this thing I was like holy shit!!! Best part was the train was passing right as I netted it - looked up saw the conductors I was shouting yeah boys!!!! They were hyped and rippin the train horn for me. Never know when those awesome Truckee experiences are gonna happen but man they seem like they keep adding up.

Still fired up from yesterday! Had a semi slow day the day before. The river keeps you wondering and coming back though - that’s for sure. Staying after it lately and loving it. Feels great to be out.
