Hiya Insta-friends.

I posted a new short horror story on my Itch page this week. Maggot Box is the story of two very high roommates having a fun night of watching bad horror movies. They plumb the depths of crappy streaming apps, until they stumble upon a buried one called Maggot Box. Their curiosity gets the better of them, and after they download it, the content on the app turns a night of fun deadly serious.

Maggot box is free, pay what you want. Cover was made by me using a licensed, AI-free stock photo. All work I do is Gen-AI free.

Hi, friends. Gem here!

On October 20th, I have a Dark Fantasy/Horror novella dropping, entitled Vitrified. It's about a girl trapped in her dreams, on a looping nightmare, who manages to escape by concentrating, astral projecting her mind into a very real, beautiful yet terrifying other realm.
.
She then has to piece together what's really happening to her body, and how to get back to her own world. Things only get stranger and stranger.... Fans of Alice in Wonderland and Oz might like this scarier, darker spin, which ties directly into my debut novel, Savage as You.
.
.
I'll be dropping Vitrified the day of release. Follow me on Itch if you're interested (Price will be free, pay what you want):

(Vitrified's cover was made by me using an AI-Free, licensed stock image. Part of a set uploaded in 2020.)

Hi there, friends and random Instagram vagrants who happen by!
.
.
Do you like books full of absurd humor, dark lore, messy relationships, otherworldly exploration, and alcoholic talking hat racks? Then I've got the book for you! 🎉📖
.
.
Savage as You is an Isekai/Dark Fantasy novel about a (semi) ordinary girl who receives a mysterious invitation to another realm, along with the promise that she is to be the new queen.
.
Purchase links can all be found in my linktree in my bio. Available in softcover, ebook, Kindle, possibly on your Smart Fridge, I dunno, I won't judge (much).
.
Oh, and needless to say . . . No f$&@!ing AI was used at any point in the creation of this work. Take that, Skynet!

✨️🪻 My debut novel, Savage as You, is out now!🪻✨️

Savage as You is a queer Isekai novel. YA-styled, but created with adult readers in mind. Dark Fantasy vibes. Loads of humor, with our very opinionated narrator, Hailey, at the helm. If you love stories about normal(ish) people visiting fantastic and simultaneously horrifying other worlds, learning the secrets of the universe, magic, monsters, Gods, possibly a talking hat rack. Then this might just be the book for you!

🏳️‍⚧️ Transfem Protagonist

⏳️ A Race Against Time

💘 A (Messy) Love Triangle

🧭 Otherworldly Exploration

🪄 Regular People Using Magic! (Irresponsibly)

☄️ Possibly the End of the World idk

Savage as You was made with zero Gen AI involvement at any stage of creation. Cover art by @sacherali

All purchase links can be found in the Linktree in my bio! Thanks for any support! Have a lovely day, guys! 🥰

🪻💜Hello my beautiful people! 💜🪻

I'm an Indie author, I go by J.M. Weaver. Never reached out on Instagram before. But why not? My debut novel, Savage as You, comes out September 1st! 🎉It's a queer Portal Fantasy novel starring a trans girl in high school named Hailey, who receives a strange package in the mail. An antique mirror and a letter outlining how to make said mirror a gateway to a comely yet dangerous realm known as Lin J'Roe. The letter also claims that Hailey is to be this realm's new queen.

Preorders are up pretty much everywhere. Available in Ebook and Softcover! ZERO generative AI was used in the creation of SaY. Cover art by the infinitely talented @sacherali
Background of my derpy ad is a photo taken by my friend Reid in his garden. 😂

Let me know below if anyone has questions or just wants to yap at me about the Instagram book community since I'm very much new (to Insta in general). Have a lovely day everyone. 🫶❤️
