Zing! Feeling great because this dang record is out and about today. Massive thanks to everyone that has already picked up a copy, or has been listening to the tunes. Today brings the second slice of Jnbo & Friends. ‘Missing’ is a sentimental, yearninginstrumental with the three guitars of Darvid Thor (Karate Boogaloo), Lachlan Stuckey (Surprise Chef) and Lewis Coleman arranged delicately across the stereo field, set upon a vista of Jethro Curtin (Surprise Chef) on ARP Solina, Callum Riley (Karate Boogaloo) on organ, Lena Douglas on piano and the unmistakable drums of Hudson Whitlock (Karate Boogaloo, Brenda, The Pro-Teens). A little while ago I had the great pleasure of recording some music I wrote with some dear friends of mine. Local funk moguls @collegeofknowledgerecords are putting out the record. The single ‘Dogs’ is out today. Zing! I feel incredibly lucky to say that everyone who had something to do with this record is a dear friend. The world’s a crazy place and it’s a wild time to be putting out instrumental music but here it is, I hope it tickles. by @jnboooooo

Announcing COK016: Jnbo - & Friends.We’re extremely proud to welcome Jnbo, solo project of the great Henry Jenkins. Henry is crucial to College Of Knowledge, having recorded and mixed every single record we’ve ever released. He plays bass in Karate Boogaloo, The Pro-Teens and Brenda, in addition to generally being a guru and musical guiding light for all of us. He also just won a Grammy for his contributions to Leon Thomas’ album Mutt.& Friends sees Jenkins turn his abilities to his own brilliant compositions.
