REGRETTABLY, I will NOT be racing in the Ultra 55 Hour Race and Relay this year. That does NOT mean that I won’t be fundraising for the event. While I knew today was approaching, it didn’t make this last class any easier. I found out not too long ago my friend, fellow kids coach, and brother, @rubio_ricardo1 would be taking an extended vacation from us to go back home. Rubio, it has truly been such a joy to share the mats with you. From the moment we met as white belts, you have always treated me with patience, kindness, and respect. You have been a tremendously positive influence in Sophie’s life and she loves you just as much as I do. From beginners, to teachers, to purple belts, we’ve been through an incredible amount in what feels like not a long time. I’m truly grateful for every second we have learned, rolled, taught, partied, joked, and shared together. Like you said, it’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon.
