I started this hub many years ago when being on this app felt difficult and full of friction. Through the yearning I had to stay connected, I went deeper 🌱 and as an Aquarius who’s more than slightly obsessed with information sharing, it has evolved into the hub that exists today 💞

I love it very much, I’m very proud of it, and I hope this guide encourages usage of it! As much as I engage with it, it only really works if you feel that you can engage with it, too.

a letter to a past self:

dear joré,
there will be a day
that you turn thirty-two.

you will have survived your Saturn return,
and although you may not know
what that means yet,
I assure you,
you will find out.

you will make a decision
to allow this year to be a year
for falling in love with yourself again;
deeply,
and possibly madly.
it is a love that is overdue.

you will become more aware of compromise
and, out of sheer forgiveness for yourself,
you will demand more moving forward—
more from others,
but, most importantly,
more from yourself.

you will find yourself curious again.

you’ll remember this year
that you’re really fucking good
at making yourself laugh.

you will be held by others
that have woven love around you so intentionally
and you will hold them, too,
and you will be warm there,
and you will feel safe there.

as time propels you forward,
you will learn how to turn yourself backwards
in your metaphysical seat,
and, while slightly slouching,
find comfort in witnessing what you are leaving behind.

you will clear the debt of gentleness you owe to yourself
by paying it back, tenfold.

you will marvel at the results that come from living.

you will be grateful to watch it all bloom like this.

dancing to the tune that those strums make

do those threads
truly tie us to each other?

low hums
music to my ears
the kind that my mind’s gears
churn to make real

the distortion of the medium that has
captured your essence
mimics the muffled sounds I can deeply sense
as familiar—
somehow,
some way.

I wonder if the dirt of the country road
buried itself under your fingernails.

I wonder if you were the type of person who cared.

I wonder if you took pride in the development of every new callus that formed from playing that guitar.

You hold it preciously.
