A year ago, I was diagnosed with the same
autoimmune disease that I watched my sister struggle and fight with just the year before. Being diagnosed with Indeterminant Ulcerative Colitis, an incurable disease that causes inflammation in the digestive tract, has been one of the biggest fears I have had to overcome. Sleepless nights, days where i could only muster keeping liquids down, and being poked and prodded time and time again are just a few of the challenges this disease has brought me.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the massive support system I have been so lucky to have. A lifetime of love for my doctors and nurses, endless appreciation for my family and friends, and a limitless amount of life yet to be lived.
