A little day in my life, because there are days where you quite literally have to change in the car and make it work. Apparently all versions of me were needed yesterday. Cross-country Mom at 10. Somebody’s fine friend by noon. Out with the girls by night. Very much balanced. Very much versatile.

Being a single mom is realizing that being a good mom doesn’t require you to stop being YOURSELF. I think I’ve mastered that balance. Giving them a full childhood without giving up having a full life of my own.

People tell you how hard it’s going to be. Dating will be impossible. No one will want you. You’ll struggle. You won’t have time for yourself. Blah. Blah. Blah.

Some parts ARE hard. But I’ve also learned there’s very little I can’t figure out. I make sh*t happen. My girls are good. I’m good. And the life we’ve built is really beautiful. And I think my girls getting to watch me live, evolve, pivot and thrive is part of the beauty of it all.
