what a lovely, magical, raining sunday evening at @frontporchcville. didn’t get many videos or photos, but oh well. so honored to have shared a bill with @ebonynicolemusic & @aceliamusic and a stage with @corduroyszn, @marieannetoilette, and Maddie. thank you to everyone who came out to hear us—it will always mean the world <3

we don’t have much on the schedule for the rest of the year show wise. if you’ve got any shows you want to add a kinda spooky, kinda folky, kinda indie singer-songwriter to, let me know :) taken in The Front Porch by @jo.malicotte

wowowow 🙃 I played at @thecamelrva last night with @zhtml.orggg / @zhtml.band & @sirdrrva and it was a dream. An absolute dream. I also documented the show, and my dear friend @zhtml.orggg grabbed my camera and took these lovely shots of my set (and also performed a KILLER INCREDIBLE AMAZING INSPIRED BEAUTIFUL SET RIGHT AFTER) ♥️

Can’t wait to share more photos I took & can’t wait for more shows with my best buds. Thank you all times infinity for showing up & listening & cheering & supporting & being the very best ever!

Extra special thanks to @theboylan for fiddlin’ and being such a cherished friend and @corduroyszn for playing alongside me, collaborating with me, and being the love of my life 💕

Feeling quite tired today from this busy week, but also feeling so grateful to be so sleepy from doing things I love and spending time with beautiful friends I love so dearly. Crying & feeling thankful & so inspired 🥲 taken in The Camel by @jo.malicotte

Join us October 11th for an evening of original music and powerful storytelling from three Virginia singer-songwriters. 🎤

Richmond artist Jo Malicotte weaves delicate acoustic arrangements, lush harmonies, and poetic lyricism into songs that explore love, loss, and the bittersweet moments in between. Jo's music is influenced by the raw vulnerability and introspective storytelling of artists like Alice Phoebe Lou, Mazzy Star, Haley Heynderickx, and Julia Jacklin. @jo.malicotte

Richmond-based Acelia blends the honesty of folk songwriting with the earthy influences of her Virginia roots, crafting songs that explore heartache, protest, growth, and the beautiful details of everyday life. @aceliamusic

Ebony Nicole, based in Harrisonburg, brings a unique blend of indie, bedroom pop, folk, and lo-fi influences. From soulful ballads to upbeat anthems, her songs are a blend of personal experiences with a touch of universal emotions. @ebonynicolemusic

🎟 Tickets are on sale now through The Front Porch. Find the ticket link under the Concerts tab in our bio.

Thank you to our sponsors, @visitvirginia and @sticks_cville, for helping bring great live music to our community.

wow. last night was so incredibly special. thank you so, so much to everyone who came out to listen. it means so much, and i’m so thankful that you were there :)

@doreenbelief started the night with a lovely solo set of stunningly ethereal tunes that was truly magical. next, @cburrowsmusic played with a beautiful musicality that was honestly a gift to witness. their sets were so, so good, and i am so grateful that they joined this bill with me.

i closed the show alongside @marieannetoilette + @frankiefrak on vocals and @corduroyszn on guitar, and it so fun. i’m so thankful to them for sharing their talents with me and helping me bring my songs to life. i played some new tunes, sang harmonies with my buddies, took some pictures (thanks @brittybrooks for taking over camera duties during my set), and it was great.

shoutout to @afterglow_coffee for hosting us for this show, as well. the space is so lovely, and i love singing my songs there. also, special thanks to @zhtml.orggg for working the door and generally being such a wonderful supporter & friend AND @corduroyszn for playing guitar beautifully and working sound for the show and being my favorite boy in the whole universe <3

i had surgery just 2 weeks ago, and recovery has been a rocky road. getting out last night, meeting new friends, sharing my art, playing music…it really helped. so grateful. so thankful. so happy. taken in Afterglow Coffee Cooperative by @jo.malicotte
