Everything I Want to Tell You at Reykjavík Art Museum–Hafnarhús on view until July 30, 2025.@sadieicc At the 51st D-Gallery exhibition you are greeted by thousands of still and moving images. They span staged dream sequences, glitched videos, screenshots of late-night conversations, pixelated selfies, and medical documentation.The exhibition is based around the possibility of existing beyond the constructed binaries. This collaborative practice thrives in the abrasions that form when desire rubs against a precarious life. [LAST DAYS — ON VIEW THROUGH 26.7]Sadie Cook & Jo Pawlowska @sadieicc @jo.pawlowsk_ Everything I Want to Tell YouEverything I Want to Tell You is an ongoing collaboration between Sadie Cook and Jo Pawlowska. The project began through conversations about how fragments of their bodies and lives relate to the nebulous constraints of class, illness, immigration, gender, and sexuality. As the two discussed the ripple effects of their attempts to escape these imposed definitions, they turned to images as a way to document and fantasize.Over the past two years, the duo has built an expanding archive of thousands of images. They use these images to create large-scale installations composed of swirling explosions and dense clusters. Each installation engages with binaries they see reflected in both their archive and the architecture of the exhibition space. On view through May 17 at Centquatre-Paris as part of Festival Circulation(s). @festival_circulations “Everything I Want to Tell You began with conversations around the relationship of our bodies to the nebulous cages of class, illness, immigration, gender and sexuality. As we talked about the ripple effects of our efforts to escape these concrete definitions, we turned to photographs, screenshots, selfies, and glitched videos as a means to both record and fantasize. It was beautiful to see so many people at the opening weekend. Such a thrill that our photo was chosen as the image of the festival, and to see it appear all over Paris! Huge thank you to Sarah Moroz for the feature. @sarahmsnapshot “When they finally met, they were delighted to find out they were both “obsessives who process things visually,” Cook says. Their collaboration poses the question: what would it look like if everything was built for us?
