This week, we begin introducing the artists taking part in PRESENT IS PERFECT, the inaugural exhibition at The Moustache Gallery.

For our first exhibition, we have brought together a group of established artists whose practices are distinctive, independent and deeply individual. Working across different media and approaches, each has developed a visual language unmistakably their own.

What connects them is not a particular style or generation, but the integrity and consistency of their practice: an ongoing commitment to making work, developing ideas and pursuing their own artistic direction.

We are delighted to bring their work together for PRESENT IS PERFECT, and we hope that when you visit the exhibition, you will share our enthusiasm for the artists and their work.

Over the coming days, we will introduce them individually.

Celebrating the incredibly beautiful still life paintings by Jo Barrett.
Influenced by the Dutch still life painting tradition, these stunning contemporary paintings have an innate tranquility to them.

Painting from life, London painter Jo says:
“I look for subject matter for my paintings everywhere I go. I’m always on the hunt for new pots and vases and have quite a collection that I use.”

Jo paints in long full-day shifts with rescue greyhound Tiggy for company. “She is so quiet and she loves to sleep, the perfect company when I’m working!”

The Art Buyer Gallery has been thrilled to show Jo Barrett’s work since opening our new gallery by Hampton Court Palace. Visit Jo’s new collection before the end of June and explore it online now.

Really looking forward to the Private View at The Art Buyer this evening! It's always a joy to see my work hanging in a gallery and I'm happy to be sharing the space with Melanie Goeman's beautiful paintings.

Hang an exhibition with us in under 30 seconds (2.5hours).

This is the most joyful and thrilling process for a gallery - unwrapping new paintings, meeting them for the first time ‘in the flesh’ and deciding where to place them that shows them, and their friends, off in their best light.

Hanging is almost complete, labels going on and we’re nearly ready to open the doors.

The Art Buyer Presents: Jo Barrett & Melanie Goemans

This stunning new show by two talented female painters opens 1st May. Email us to request a list of works: gallery@theartbuyer.co.uk
