Short recap of my first competition ever ❤️

😮‍💨 Basically around a months ago I properly and consistently started kitelooping. It is crazy to me what went down the road the past weeks!

Last Monday I got a phone call and got asked to join @full_power_tarifa, and of course I took the opportunity the be part of this incredible Big Air Kitesurfing Event.
On very short notice I had to get my gear ready to compete, come up with a strategy and find a caddy to help me throughout my competition. It has been a few intense days and the tension was definitely rising. But with some mindfulness and great support of my friends I could find myself more relaxed.

I always said I'm not competing before having the chance to make a podium but friends and my sponsor @reedinkites encouraged me to gain competition experience in first place. So yes, it is true and I think necessary and very exciting to be able to understand all the emotions you are going through pre-, during-, and post-competition.
It was an incredible experience and I am very much looking forward to compete in the next @full_power_tarifa event 😈🔥

First ever half marathon 🏅

6 weeks training, wired headphones (some kite & gym sessions) and an AI written training plan. Simple.

After getting back into running in June, I signed up for the @runonseries half marathon in 📍Marbella.

I started training to see where it would take me.

The race itself started quite well despite the fact that I was still recovering from being sick the week before. Even though, I decided to participate… and at the starting line the adrenaline started to build ⚡️ I found myself running faster than expected.

One thing I could have done better was my starting position. At the beginning, I had to work my way through the crowd towards the front, which cost me some time. It didn’t feel like running at all first, it felt more like playing football and dribbling through people ⚽️🏃🏽‍♀️

The crowd was huge but I didn’t really know anyone around me, I participated myself. I was focused and completely in my own zone. No familiar faces along the way, no one waiting at the finish line - just me, the race, and figuring it out step by step.

Basically, the first 15km went smoothly but as the sun came up and the heat started to rise, the last 5-6km became less about running and more about mindset. 🧘🏽‍♀️

I believe you don’t need perfect conditions to start - whether that be the fancy running gear or something else.
I believe sometimes you just need to decide that you’re going to start and keep going when it gets uncomfortable. 🏄🏽‍♀️🌊

And sometimes, when you close your eyes and listen deeply, you realize that maybe the voice you were waiting to hear was your own.

Half Marathon Countdown ⏳🏃🏽‍♀️

Started running again in June, 44 runs later and somehow I have been training for a half marathon the last weeks.
