Well, this has completely undone us. 😭❤️

Our very own @maizyliddell has created this beautiful illustration of Jo&Co using used coffee and old receipts.

We spend so much of our lives worrying about the everyday challenges of running a restaurant that sometimes we forget to see what we’ve actually created.

And then someone like Maizy comes along and reminds us.

Jo&Co has always been about so much more than food and drink. It’s about people, belonging and the little things that make this place feel like home.

To know that someone in our team sees it this way is quite overwhelming.

We’re both a little teary, enormously proud and completely blown away.

Another week, another few friends made. ❤️

Still doing what we love, with people who make it all worthwhile. Feeling very lucky (and just a little tired!).

Now off to @tapestryhove for a well-earned Sunday roastie. 🍷

Meanwhile, Co has fallen deeply in love… with his new jacket from @wearlondon.
Apparently, we’re fashion influencers now. 🤣

What a weekend. ❤️
A queue at the door.
A busy Saturday..
And then the most beautiful wedding reception.

Someone chose our little Jo&Co for one of the biggest days of their lives. That got us. 🥹

We always forget the seeming layover after a 16 hr day.. Co reminded Jo this morning that she was opening at 8am at 7.35 🤣

Sunday back to business. Full house.

We’re tired, a little emotional, but more than anything, incredibly grateful.

To still be standing here, doing what we love, with people choosing to spend their precious moments with us… it means everything.

Two very happy restaurant owners. ❤️

THE JOURNEY OF A FISH PIE 🐟🥧

Born in 2020, when Jo&Co had NO income and absolutely no idea what the future held.

A menu staple since 2021.
A weekly sell-out in our At Home range.
Some of you buy 4–6 at a time! 😂

Today, someone described it as “repulsive.”

Ouch. 😳

Food is personal. We know we can’t please everyone.

But this little fish pie helped us survive one of the hardest chapters of Jo&Co — and has been feeding Hove ever since.

What. A. Week. 😮‍💨❤️

It’s been hectic, slightly bonkers and VERY Jo&Co… but don’t worry, we still found time for the important things.

Rosé from the Co-Op. 🍷
(Our little secret: Studio by Miraval… thank us later 😊)

And then there’s our new loyalty app… which has gone a little bit WILD. 🦍😭

Honestly, seeing how many of you have already signed up and started using it has blown us away.

We wanted to create something that actually gives a little back to the people who give us so much — you lot.

So thank you. ❤️

WORK HARD. PLAY HARDER. Apparently. 😂

Saturday was a beautiful one at Jo&Co. 💍❤️
A gorgeous wedding reception, a packed restaurant and a team who worked their absolute socks off.

Jo&Co
Started: 8am Saturday.
Finished: 1.15am Sunday.
Alarm: 4am. ✈️

Because apparently we make excellent life choices. 🤣

A day and a half to recover and we’re back in our Happy Place for four days. ☀️🥂

Tired? Yes.
Would we change it? Probably not.
Would we book a 4am wake up again?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. 😂

To our newlyweds, thank you for trusting us with your special day.
To our team — you’re bloody brilliant. ❤️

Finally made it to @jackspizza.uk - it was delicious, like crazy delicious 😋
.
We went for the Jack Hammer and The Hove Actually and of course fries and a bottle of Rosé 🕺🏻💃🏼
Jo is delighted with our take away box..🤣

So lovely to meet Jack and talk about our businesses - we never had other indies support us when we opened so we always want to try our best and support others x

WHAT. A. WEEKEND. ❤️

300 covers today. THREE HUNDRED. 😳

A restaurant full of noise, laughter, familiar faces, new faces, families, friends… and the most incredible energy.

We never, ever take days like today for granted.
Independent hospitality can be a funny old game, but weekends like this remind us exactly why we do it.

To everyone who walked through our doors this weekend — thank you.

To our team, who absolutely smashed it — thank you.

Just ask Jo or Co which bottle of wine you’d like ❤️
And to this wonderful little community of ours… we bloody love you. 🦍❤️

Meanwhile, Co offered to go and collect the pups, got caught in the biblical rain and returned looking like this.

He IS wearing clothes.
Most of them are currently drying. 🤣☔️

Tremendous weekend.
Very grateful.
Slightly damp.

THE BAR GLOW UP 💚

Why. Didn’t. We. Do. This. Before?! 🤣

After years of the dark bar, we decided it was finally time to lighten things up…

And look at her now. 👀💚

The colour? Breakfast Green.
We mean… could there BE a more Jo&Co paint colour?! 😂🍳

A little brighter. A little fresher. A whole lot more fabulous.

Same bar. Same cocktails. Same questionable decisions after the second one. 🍸

Just considerably greener.

Was once told that I shouldn’t lift… 🏋🏻

Was also once told by specialists not to train legs or lower back… due to pro lapsed discs in my spine..
.
Well…
.
Look what I’m able to do now at 49yrs!!!
.
Super chuffed and wanted to share for all of my generation out there..

DO IT! I promise you’ll feel so much better 🕺🏻
