So lucky to see Laura Heit’s “Matchbox Shows” at Mudland Playspace in the formerly abandoned Lloyd Center Mall. Laura performed a passel of teeny puppet shows inside actual matchboxes, featuring a dead boyfriend, sausage ferry and tiger whisperer. They were also projected on a large screen so you could see every detail of her incredibly charming, beautiful artwork. Wow!!

Something wonderful has happened at the abandoned Lloyd Center Mall. The ice rink (from 1960!) is full of happy people and there are a bunch of cool toy and game stores, including my favorite comic book store, Floating World Comics. They are the new anchor tenant! Look for MUDLAND Playspace near the former Marshall’s. They have great puppet shows and events for kids and adults

Paul Harrod’s magnificent “Angel Eyes” costume for Halloween 2025. There’s a springy interior frame that holds up the top head and shoulders. It bounces so Angel Eyes is chewing on Paul's brain! Finger armatures (in the leather gloves) keep Angel's hands around Paul’s head.

Glorious small bouquet of beautiful flowers from Lucinda Parker’s garden. It came in an elegant, hand blown, glass vase that was a gift from her sister, Theo. by @joanimator

Jung & Restless is showing at Comic-Con International in San Diego this Thursday at 2 PM in Room 32AB. It is part of Spike and Mikes Festival of Animation. I’ve never been to Comic-Con but I know people love it.
