Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes, texts, calls, and messages! 💜

Today I celebrated my 41st Birthday!

The last 40 years have not been easy. There have been many seasons of waiting, testing, preparation, and refinement.

Often the Bible compares our lives to the refining of silver. If you didn’t know, a silversmith places silver into the hottest spot in the fire so the impurities can be removed. The fire isn’t there to destroy the silver. It’s there to purify it. But how does the silversmith know when the refining is complete? He knows when he can see his own reflection in the silver. This paints a beautiful picture of what God is doing in us. Through every trial, every delay, and every season of waiting, He is shaping us to reflect more of Him.

41 is my new season; refined and more reflective than ever. A season full of blessings 🙌🏻. That doesn’t mean life now becomes easy; life is never easy. But I know that whatever God has been preparing me for will be worth it. I am truly excited and looking forward to seeing what God has in store for me in this next season.

Thank you again for all the love and birthday wishes. May God bless each of you, and I hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July! 🇺🇸

Well , I had my yearly checkup today at @ccwanimalclinic , and I am happy to report that I received excellent marks across the board. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mom and I just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Amy Warren and the entire team for always taking such amazing care of me. From the moment we walk through the doors, they always make sure I’m happy, healthy and ready to continue my very important duties, such as neighborhood patrol, squirrel surveillance, professional napper and human SD services.

Everyone at the clinic is so kind and patient. They answer all of Mom’s questions, give me lots of love, and somehow manage to perform a complete examination while I attempt to love and kiss on everyone I see.

We are so thankful to have a veterinary team we trust completely!

So if you’re looking for a veterinary team that truly cares about their patients, my tail-wagging recommendation is Dr Amy at Culbreth-Carr Animal Clinic.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a couch to nap on and absolutely no intention of paying my bill (that’s Mom’s job).

Four years ago today, this tiny littly husky pup was born. Then 10 weeks later God sent her to me, right when I needed her most.

When people describe their dogs they will say things like:

Loyal.
Compassionate.
Best Friend.
A little demanding sometimes too, lol.

I don’t think it’s no accident that we call our little fur angels Dogs, for their love mirrors the same love that God has for us.

If I were to describe the relationship that God wants with his children, it’s no different than the relationship we have with our soul dogs.

When Scylla looks at me, she doesn’t see my flaws. She doesn’t see my bad days.
She just sees me and she loves me unconditionally. I am the most important thing to her and she to me.

If that isn’t a glimpse of how God loves us, I don’t know what is. So next time you look into your Dogs eyes just know that God is looking back and desires that same love and relationship with you.

This Halloween season, Scylla and I were filled with a little more of the Holy Spirit. Not only did we hand out candy but each kid also received a baby Jesus ✝️ and a little Holy Ghost 👻 too. It was so cute to see the kids light up more over these tiny reminders of God’s love than the sweets. 💜 No matter what, God always brings light even on a night like Halloween. by @joannaselman
