It’s been a while since I’ve got a real life certificate, but after a great weekend at @plasybreninofficial I’ve got myself a @rescue3europe Safe Working at Height ticket.

Hanging off a rope with a camera just got a lot safer and a bit less ‘yeah probably fine’.

Thanks to @goverticalsafety for an excellent course, @tomlaws for the tip off and @plasybreninofficial for being a great venue. taken in Plas y Brenin by @jobynewson

Some favourites from @gee_atherton's latest creation, Windfell. I came on board to film a chunk of this and work on the post-production over at @wearepeny HQ.

Huge respect to Gee and the rest of the build crew. The precision these features demand is another level - a wheel out by an inch, and there's some pretty spiky outcomes 20ft below. Filming in the chaos of the flattened forest was hard enough!

This was actually my first time back at @dyfibikepark since my world-famous crash back in 2019 (DM to see the pics and find out why Gee's mum calls me 'The Kipper Man'). Good to exorcise those demons! Will be heading back for a ride as soon as.

A few snaps from an amazing job helping the team at @redbulluk make sure @krisskyle wasn't going to give the RB8 an accidental little tap.

Awesome to be part of the huge amount of prep & dedication that went into this project. Massive effort from everyone involved! Check out the full video on YouTube to see all the pieces that needed to fall into place for this to work.

Great to work with you all. See you on the next one ☝️

Thanks to @wearepeny for sending me off on this particular adventure, and thanks to @moonhead_media for the team shot. taken in Goodwood Motor Circuit by @jobynewson

A bit late for Mental Health Awareness Week, but you’ll let me off won’t you?

I had the joy of meeting people at four @mentalhealthswims venues, from Scotland to Sidmouth and a couple of places inbetween, to hear their stories and find out how big an impact the charity has had on their lives.

What a bloody lovely bunch.

If you like the idea of open water swimming/dipping and feel like your noggin would benefit from a bit of time spent with welcoming, supportive and like minded people, I’d recommend finding out where your nearest Mental Health Swims group meets. You don’t need any kit or any experience, and you don’t even have to get in the water if you don’t want to.

Thanks again to
@mhs_whiteloch
@mhs_balalake
@mhs_westreservoir
@mentalhealthswims_sidmouth

See you all again soon ✌️

(Could I have made this sideways for Instagram? Yeah probably. But it’s about the words more than the pictures so you’ll just have to squint.) by @jobynewson

Not very often that I put anything other than work on my feed these days, but it feels like maybe The Emmys is a good reason to buck the trend.

It’s been a whirlwind few days, and a surreal experience ever since finding out we had the nomination back in July. I never expected those hours spent pitchside at @wrexham_afc in all weathers would lead to a walk down the red carpet in LA.

Although the camera department didn’t win our category, last night was a huge win for the show and for Wrexham itself. Three awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program for the show as a whole.

It’s a show with a lot of heart at every level, from the Hollywood royalty at the top who took a punt on a small town in North Wales, to the people of Wrexham who gave them chance, and everyone inbetween. This week I’ve met people who work behind the scenes in editing, colouring, production and sound mixing who have never even been to Wrexham, but clearly share the love for the show and what it’s doing for the town.

Very proud to have played my small part in it.

Thanks everyone for all the kind messages of support. Thanks @vancityreynolds and @robmcelhenney for taking a chance and pulling it off. Thanks @humphreyker for putting @wrexham_afc on that list. Thanks @nianewson for putting up with me.

Too mushy? Probably. It’s 40°c and my brain has melted.

Until next year ✌️ taken in Peacock Theater by @jobynewson

Recent work, shot for @android at @mclaren HQ.

Fun shoot! Big crew by my standards, lots of moving parts and a limited window to get it all done. The hard work definitely paid off, the final edits look great.

Great to work with @landonorris and @oscarpiastri again, really up for it as usual! Great to have a cameo from @zbrownceo on this one too ☝️

I shot this on a couple of cold days in December last year, in Brecon and on Pen Y Fan.

It was nothing short of a privilege to meet and work with everyone from @strongmenorguk, a charity that is doing amazing work helping bereaved men live with their grief.

Super happy to be able to share a few frames from this recently released video I shot for @googleuk, alongside @twinsstifani_cinematography for @highstakesfilms - a look Behind the Design of their special chrome livery that clearly gave the @mclaren team a few extra horses at the Silverstone Grand Prix this weekend.

An absolute treat to spend last Saturday photographing the @trashfreetrails Earth Day cleanup of Llyn Padarn and Yr Wyddfa ⛰️

So great to see how many people were super keen to get involved and keep these places we love to play in good nick- and on the flipside a bit of shame to see how many people clearly don’t care too much.

The official [estimated by calculations] stats are that roughly 437kg of waste were removed from around 31km of trail- in the ballpark of 12,000 individual pieces of litter.

Respect to the 111 volunteers who picked it all up! taken in Llyn Padarn by @jobynewson
