Do you know what I love about painting scenes like this? It's the way the sunlight brings the whole thing to life.
The beauty of Irish wildlife never ceases to amaze me. How could you not be inspired?

Right… I'm back.

It's been a few weeks since I posted anything on here. I won't lie, I absolutely hate keeping up with social media. I'd much rather be standing in the studio with a paintbrush in my hand than sitting down trying to figure out what the hell to post 🫣
But I'm going to make a proper effort to get back into the swing of it.
So, to kick things off, here's a recently commissioned painting, Abe.
Abe was a much loved family dog who sadly passed away. I was asked to create a painting that reflected his unique character and captured him in his favourite place, surrounded by warm woodland light.
I'm really happy with how this one came together.

Thanks so much to Abe's family for trusting me with his portrait.

If you'd like to commission your own portrait, just send me a message, and I'll get back to you with the details.

Chally Chute - Acrylic on canvas

It was a genuine pleasure to work on this portrait.
I loved everything about this piece. Those rich chestnut tones, the beautiful blue sky and the finishing touch, the Curragh backdrop 👌🏻

A very special painting of a very special horse.

Thank you to my wonderful client for trusting me with this one.

Well… this wall is starting to look a little different 😅
Absolutely blown away by the response at the Dublin Horse Show so far.
A huge thank you to everyone who has stopped by, chatted, bought a piece, ordered a commission, or even just taken the time to say hello.
Two days still to go… 😁

Day 1... we're off!

The stand is ready ✅️
The paintings are hung ✅️
large quantities of caffeine on standby ✅️

If you're at the Dublin Horse Show this week, pop over and say hello. Whether you're looking for an original, a print, or just fancy a chat, it'd be brilliant to meet you.

Now... if everyone could kindly form an orderly queue to purchase prints and paintings, that would really help settle the nerves 😉😂

Another one finished...
This is 'Silent Vigil', one of my latest paintings that'll be coming with me to the Dublin Horse Show.
I'm working my way through the final preparations, and I have to say, I'm really looking forward to getting everything packed up and seeing the entire collection together.
It's been a lot of long days... and a fair few late nights! But I'm delighted to finally start sharing some of these new paintings with you.
If you're heading to the Horse Show this year, be sure to stop by for a chat. Whether you're coming to have a look at the originals, browse the prints, or just say hello, it'd be great to see some familiar faces.
Now... if you'll excuse me, I've still got a mountain of work to get through before the doors open next week.
After all this madness, I think I've earned a few days of doing absolutely nothing... although knowing me, I'll probably end up starting another painting. 😂
See you at the @dublinhorseshow folks

It's been a little while since I last posted 😁

I've taken a step back from social media over the past few weeks to focus on commission work and prepare for the Dublin Horse Show. Now that things are coming together, I thought it was the perfect time to share a glimpse of one of my latest paintings, 'Golden Reflections'.

With this painting, I wanted to explore how light could become part of the story. Rather than simply illuminating the fox, the reflections on the water and the warm light filtering through the trees were painted to create a feeling of stillness and tranquility.

I'm looking forward to sharing more of what's been happening in the studio over the coming weeks.
Hope to see you at The Dublin Horse Show.

First time exhibiting at Bloom and honestly, I can’t wait.

The paintings are hung, the stand is ready, and apparently Ireland has decided to surprise us all with actual hot weather for once 😂

Bloom really is one of the best days out of the year. Great food, great gardens and great people. I’m delighted to be part of it for the first time this year.

If you’re heading to @bordbiabloom over the weekend, drop by Stand N1 and say hello 👋
I’ll have original paintings, limited edition prints, and a lobster red sunburnt complexion by day two 🥵

Looking forward to meeting you there 😀

'Wild Reverence' - Acrylic on canvas

This painting will be the centre piece of my new wildlife exhibition at Bord Bia Bloom next week.

The inspiration behind this piece was the contrast between strength and calmness.
His towering antlers and solid stance command attention as opposed to the blurred atmosphere around him, which remains soft and almost weightless. I wanted the painting to feel more like an encounter. As if you've wandered into his territory and have come face to face with an emperor.
In many ways, this painting is about respect. Respect for nature and the native wildlife that have moved through these landscapes long before us.
This piece will be on display at @bordbiabloom
Stand N1
28th May - 1st June

There’s a moment in every painting where it suddenly comes alive.

With Bloom just around the corner, the pressure is definitely building in the studio… but paintings like 'Ascendance' remind me why I love the process.
