RENT. guys i promise i won’t archive this one, i finally got all the videos i needed LOL so this is the official post!!! <3

anyway, what an incredible show & what an incredible cast/crew. wow. when i first found out i’d be playing maureen johnson at wagner, i could not contain my joy & my excitement. like what an ICONIC show & what an insanely iconic role! it made my entire junior year & it happened when i most needed it :) i was quite literally jumping up & down on my way to stage one to tech romeo & juliet when i received the news (shoutout to that equally amazing cast/crew)! 🤍

i knew that playing maureen would be something completely out of my comfort zone & unlike anything i’d ever done in the past, but i was not prepared to get so emotionally attached to her. i truly cherished every single rehearsal & every single performance, & i’m so unbelievably honored to be carrying her with me in all my future endeavors as an actress. i’ve learned sooo much from her, & each time i go back & reflect on the process, i learn more.🐄🐮

being able to bring her wacky, captivating, flirtatious self to life was a gift & i couldn’t be more grateful. she helped remind me of some of the qualities i forgot i loved most about myself. i realized i’m so much more versatile than i ever gave myself credit for being, & it was really something special for me to discover. i’m soso proud of myself & everyone involved. it was a blast, & i’ll be grieving for a while. thank you for taking this leap of faith with me. i really am over the moon🌒
